I thought that every day through Thanksgiving we could all write one thing here on Addicted to Saving that we are thankful for. I know that schedules are getting busier for most of us. The thing I keep reminding myself is that this week is not just about busy schedules, Thanksgiving cooking and baking, Black Friday sales, Cyber Monday sales and more. This week let’s take some time to really be thankful for the blessings we have been given. I also want all of you to know that I truly realize some of you are struggling this year – some of you have dealt with death, financial loss, marriages ending, sickness and so much more. My heart hurts for you as I have BEEN there. I know that sometimes, our losses and trials seem so horrible that it is tough to find a positive light through all of the pain. But, if you can, look to find something you are thankful for and try to focus on these good things this week.
So – for today, let’s write one thing we are thankful for. I will remind all of you of this post every day through Thanksgiving so keep thinking of things you are Thankful for.
My Thankful Thought for the Day: I am thankful for my family. When you experience the loss of loved ones, you sometimes appreciate the blessings of your family a bit more. While I don’t have a large family due to more losses than I would like to think about, each and every member from my husband, to my mom, to my “second mom”, to my brother, to in-laws play such a pivotal role in supporting me. My husband and I are blessed to have such Godly family members who are constantly encouraging us and supporting us through the good (and sometimes bad) decisions we have made throughout our lives.

I am so incredibly thankful first and foremost to God for all He has done in my life and continues to do! I am so thankful that I have been able to quit my job and be a full time mommy to our two boys!
I am thankful for my family. My husband is an incredible man and i continue to fall more and more in love with him. I am expecting our second child and I am thankful for it’s good health. Our daughter just turned five and I feel so fortunate that she is a sweet little girl that gives us no problems. Overall I am thankful tone alive and be surrounded by wonderful people.
I am thankful for my beatuful, healthy 4 month old baby girl. I thank God everyday for giving me her she was the best suprise I ever had.
I am thankful for three healthy children …even though they may drive me crazy on occasion. Also, for a fabulous husband of 19 years! He has helped me grow in so many ways, and is always supportive and encouraging. Without him, I would be lost. 🙂
I am most thankful for my family. I became a single mother several years ago and had a little boy with health issues, I almost lost him twice. He is perfectly healthy now. A few years back I met the man that is now my husband, he has given me another beautiful boy and has just recently adopted my first son. He has also given me the chance to stay home and spend as much time as I can with the kids. Iam thankful for the people I never thought I would have in my life.
I am thankful for my health. This time last year I was undergoing chemo for breast cancer. Good health is something you can not buy, it is a gift from God!
I am so thankful for my healthy three yr old little girl, so healthy and full of life, even if it means waking up at 6am on the weekends, because “mommy, look it’s daytime!!” when all I want is a couple of more hours in bed. You see, she was not planned, we got pregnant with her 3 months after our first daughter passed away from complications of Trisomy 13 at just 17 days old. So just when we thought our world was coming down and it would be our worst Christmas ever, we got hope again. So every year Thanksgiving and Christmas is very special time for my husband and me. We are both grateful for our family and the love we always have in our home. We also bought our dream home this year, after 14 months of searching and 3 years of saving for it, we are having Christmas in our home, in a great neighborhood to raise our daughter.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone, my wish is we all take a break from all the madness of the eating and shopping, to hug our kids really tight and all the people we love who are around us, because of them, we are truly really blessed.
Today I will start with saying that I am thankful to God for my church. CCC is a great place to hear the word and praise the Lord. I have also made many friends through church that I am also thankful for : )
I too am thankful for ALL of my family. I am thankful that God gave me a wonderful husband that I loved for over 50 years. He’s gone now, but I know his pain is gone and he is with God.
I am thankful for each and every blessing God has given me and my family. I have a wonderful husband and the best little girl a mother could ask for. My great grandmother, grandmother, parents and in-laws are all healthy as well as many of my close relatives. Although some days are tough, we always find a way to keep pushing. . .
I am thankful for God’s blessings on my family. Last year my family was not able to be together for the holidays, so this year is extra special, as we celebrate together!
