On Addicted to Saving’s Facebook page, we have been chatting a lot about the closing of many Sweetbay locations. Originally, the Sweetbay locations were scheduled to close by mid-February. However, because most stores have sold out of their inventory sooner than expected, all 33 stores are already closed or will close by today, Wednesday, 2/7/13. I will continue to post Sweetbay Supermarket coupon matchups because there are still stores throughout the state that are open.
**Side note – last week I went to the Sweetbay near me that was closing. Everything as on sale 50% off. The shelves were almost entirely wiped clean although I was able to get some gluten-free foods as well as some dried beans. I was disappointed, however, to see that Sweetbay had raised the prices of many of their items perhaps to compensate a bit for the 50% off sale..
