I have had my T Mobile myTouch with my $40.00 Walmart Family Mobile Unlimited Plans for a full month now. With the Walmart Family Mobile Unlimited Plans, $40.00 gets you unlimited talk, texting and web browsing. And I am loving both my phone AND the huge savings I am gaining with my phone plan. If you recall, last month I shared that hubby and I spend a total of $188.30 each month on both of our cell phone services through AT&T. So for us to go from $188.30 per month down to $75.00 per month with Walmart Family Mobile Unlimited Plan is HUGE savings for us. Our savings of over $100 a month will go a long ways towards our upcoming adoption!

I have found that my T Mobile myTouch works really well and has all of the bells and whistles that I enjoyed on my iPhone. My T Mobile myTouch has had great reception and internet service. I haven’t had any dropped calls since using my phone and the call quality has been great. (I do have to admit that I haven’t been out in the “country”.) I also have found that the Facebook App on my T Mobile myTouch works faster than on my iPhone which is fun! (My iPhone’s app is super slow.)
Also, you may recall that when I first posted about this phone, I lamented about the lack of tethering. Well, I was wrong! With the T Mobile myTouch and the Walmart Family Mobile Unlimited Plan, there IS tethering! As you know, I am blogging 10+ hours a day on Addicted to Saving so for me, having a hot spot on my phone is important. That way, if hubby and I are driving, while he drives, I can go online on my laptop by tethering my laptop to my phone’s hotspot. Well, with the T Mobile myTouch, I can get online on my laptop while we are driving! (To use your phone’s hotspot, you must have the Smartphone Mobile HotSpot service added to your plan through T Mobile. We spoke with reps at Walmart Family Mobile Plan and they referred us to T Mobile to add this feature to my phone.)
I also had to share this awesome feature. A few weeks ago, my area was hit with a tropical storm and during the storm, there were tornadoes in my area. All of a sudden, my phone started chirping this alarm type sound. When I looked at it, I saw that my phone was notifying me that there was a tornado warning for my area. I didn’t even program it to notify me of this sort of thing! I was so impressed by this awesome safety feature!

Thank you for this post. I have been struggling with Virgin Mobile for two months now after switching from Sprint. I made a $300 phone purchase and only pay $37 per month for my service 300 min, unlimited text and web. But nothing ever works and they charge me phone minutes for checking my VM from a different phone and for txting minutes. A complete nightmare. But I need to keep cost down…thanks for this detailed info. I might just be able to make the switch. WARNING stay away from Virgin Mobile. One thing I forgot to mention, they charged me Five (5) times for my initial firsts month’s fee…FIVE TIMES. Nightmare.
Hi I just read your phone post. Does this phone come with apps like the I phone? And can you download apps like biota and certain coupon apps? Mug IPhone is 3 years old and I have put the strait card on it and it crappy now. Appreciate any more info you can provide. Thank You very much!!!
Be very careful. This is unlimited talk and texting but not Web. If you notice on the advertisement page Web is in yellow. It is unlimited talk and texting then the word Web.
Leasa, good catch! It actually is unlimited web, but there is a catch. Once you reach 1 GB in data, then your 3G speed basically goes down to dial-up modem speed. So if you’re a big gamer and watch a lot of movies or listen to a lot of music, then it might not be for you.
