Unfortunately, the Nature’s Valley Breakfast Biscuits weren’t on sale at my store. I bought two anyway because I had the coupons plus I was thinking I would get the $1.00 savings on the milk I needed. I didn’t. Oh well, it wasn’t a total loss. Groceries for this week were $27. I’m excited about that! Thanks for the great site and all the work you put into it!

Hi Beth! I’m sorry the Nature’s Valley Breakfast Biscuits deal didn’t work out! But congrats on spending just $27! That is awesome 🙂

I just wanted to let everyone know about my terrible experience in the Morehead City Harris Teeter today.
We live about an hour and fifteen minutes from our Harris Teeter.
We live in a very rural area.
I usually ship for my parents when I do my grocery shopping. They usually on a big trip once a month and then I pickup whatever they need in between.
Today, I went in HT as usually with my list and my mom’s list.
I put all her stuff in 2 of those reusable HT green bags. My mom’s order was normal stuff. The only thing in her that was on sale was the B2G3 chicken breast. She only wanted 5 (not the 10 allowed) I got none. Except for orange juice and mushrooms, our orders we nothing alike. She had no coupons whatsoever. I had the 20 allowed for my order. I could have toss everything in the cart together and checked out without any problems but I didn’t want to have to try and figure out how much my mom’s groceries were when I got to her house.
So when I got to checkout, I explained to the cashier that I needed to pay for her order separate. She informed me that this was not allowed. I pointed out to her that we didn’t have anything that was over the limit combined and her order had no coupons and mine only had 20. Since “NO” not allowed. So I asked for a manager and explained it all again. “NO” not allowed. She finally said I could pay for my mom’s and take it out to vehicle then come back in a checkout my stuff. I said “NO WAY”. So I asked for a bigger manager and after explaining it all to him again, he finally gave in. But it’s not allowed next time.
Anyone else have these problems or is it just me. My parents are old. I’m in my 50″s so my parents can’t be young.
You would have thought the way they all acted, that I was doing something wrong.
Is HT against old people that can’t get around very well????
