Well, I can officially say that having kids makes time fly even faster. Hubby and I were just talking about the fact that this month is almost over. I have no idea where it went. Asher and I have been home in the states for one full month now. He’s been my son since August 1st – over a month and a half. What a crazy, exhausting, amazing, frustrating, exciting, did I say exhausting, month and a half it has been. While some of the past month and a half has been some of the hardest days I’ve ever lived, they have also been the most fulfilling. I can’t believe he’s been with me for over 45 days now. Time flies.
My Publix trip was great fun today! There is nothing like getting bags of Ore-Ida French Fries for $0.50 each! I know I know.. Not healthy.. But I’m telling myself that if I eat a huge salad and then have a small plate of fries, it won’t be a big deal right? 🙂 Hubby is excited about trying the Tyson Breakfast Bowls. While I can’t say they appeal to me, he loves a quick breakfast that he just has to reheat!
As a reminder, you do not see any produce in today’s shopping trip (besides the Fresh Express lettuce) because hubby and I belong to a weekly coop. So, every week, we get a bin full of fruits and veggies. We also have stocked up on boneless, skinless chicken breasts and ground beef with Zaycon Foods. **Right now Zaycon Foods is taking reservations for their upcoming $1.84/lb Boneless, Skinless Chicken Event!
If you shop at a Publix that accepts Winn Dixie coupons, you might notice that every week I use a $5.00 off $30.00 Winn Dixie Enjoy the City coupon while grocery shopping. Right now Enjoy the City coupon books are on sale for as low as $1.33 each! (Each book has FOUR $5/$30 Winn Dixie coupons!) When I factor the cost of the coupon book with the $20.00 worth of coupons in it, each book is an $18.76 MONEYMAKER! Go HERE to see the Enjoy the City deal.

Kelly says
Are you in New Port Richey? Which store do you shop at because your prices are consistently lower than mine?
Brenda says
I live closest to the River Crossing Publix and also used to shop at the Mitchell Ranch Publix. Both of these usually have the highest prices, though. The prices are much lower at the Publix off of Decubellis Road in the Moon Lake area. Also the Publix off of Sun Ray in Holiday has lower prices. These stores match Liza’s prices. Depending on what I need to buy, I’ll make the few extra miles drive to these ones.
Dawn says
The Chelsea Place Publix is also considerably higher, but they take Target coupons. I normally shop at Sunray because the lower prices would save me more money than if I went elsewhere and used a Target coupon.
