I thought once a day for the month of November, I would post a quick sentence or two (or more if I get wordy) about what I’m grateful for. And I’m hoping you will join in on the gratefulness and leave a comment with what you are grateful for! Quite often throughout the year, I think about starting a gratitude journal. And then like many of the ideas I have, I never actually do it. So maybe this will be transforming and I will start my own gratitude journal once November is over.
Today I’m grateful for my hubby. For many reasons. But right now I’m grateful for how wonderful he is with our son. He stepped into the role of being a father seamlessly when he greeted Asher and I in Washington DC’s airport after we traveled for 20+ hours and were frazzled, exhausted, cranky and a delirious on jet lag. If Asher wakes in the middle of the night, some nights hubby will get up and tend to him without me asking. (Other nights he will sleep thru it ;)) He changes diapers like a pro, chases our busy Asher around the house like a pro and loves Asher like a father should. Our lives have changed 100% since Asher arrived home in August and it has been so much easier (not *easy* but easier) because hubby has stepped in and been such an hands on dad.

I, too, am grateful for my husband. We have been married for 21 years, we have three beautiful daughters and two amazing granddaughters. He has done it all; from plumbing to puke, boyfriends to backyard shenanigans, even dolls to diapers. He keeps our home full of laughter and we all know we are first and foremost – loved.
