Today’s Publix trip was fantastic. I went to a Publix located a bit farther from my “regular” Publix because I wanted to go to one that accepts Target coupons. Today was not my full weekly shopping trip. In fact, I had a full blown shopping trip this past Tuesday and I didn’t think about taking a picture of everything until now for proof. This past Tuesday I spent $29.95 and saved $120.46 and stocked up on tons of meat (4 packages of Ground Sirloin, 2 packages of Pork Country Ribs, 1 package of Sirloin Tip Steak) and produce and lots of pasta, cereal and other stuff. So, since I bought so much on Tuesday, today I really bought only the highlights that stuck out at me from the ad. I was able to score a TON of free stuff today. Originally I was planning on paying around $0.50 (after using Target store coupons) or so for each Planters Peanuts but this awesome Publix worker saw me taking the Planters off the shelf and showed me an awesome tearpad with $1.00/2 Planters Products. Score! With the tearpad, I was able to get all the nuts for free AND I received $0.87 overage! I LOVE Publix! Also – random side note – my husband very rarely eats Chef Boyardee (I can’t stomach it) and neither of us eat Kids Cuisine. BUT, I have these awesome boys in my neighborhood that I love to shower with free food and they will be receiving the Kids Cuisine and most of the Chef Boyardee 😉

**NOTE** 1) My Publix allows us to use more than one of the same Publix store coupon and/or competitor coupon. Not all Publix locations allow this. You should ask customer service if they allow this before loading up your cart. 2) You should find out what stores your Publix considers competition so that you know what competitor coupons you can use. Some but not all Publix locations accept Target, Winn Dixie, Whole Foods, Sweet Bay, Walgreens, and many more. 3) Not all Publix locations allow overage. If your Publix does not allow overage, they will adjust the value of the coupon down so that you receive the item for free.

Hi Jenn! If you put your mouse over each Target coupon I have typed up, you will be able to click the link to go directly to Target’s website. Once there, scroll to the bottom of the page, click “Coupons” and you will be able to print out the Target coupons.

Hi Mandi! Publix in Trinity on 54 next to the Target. Because it is in the same plaza as a Target, they allow us to use Target store coupons.
I shop at the Citrus Park Publix on Gunn and ocassionally in Westchase and they both take Target coupons.
Just to add something which may apply to all Publix stores — I’m not sure. The Athenos (sp ?) Feta cheese crumbles are B1G1! I used my B1G1 coupons from “liking” them on FB! It doesn’t get better than that!

Hi Liza, awesome job! But I am puzzled. I just wanted to clarify something. i thought you could not combine a publix coupon with a competitor coupon for the same item? I could be mistaken, but I was under the impression it wasn’t allowed because Publix is not reimbursed for either of them. Unless I have misunderstood something, but it looks like you combined a competitor and publix q for the kid cuisine. I just wanted the clarfication; Also, if the cashier at publix was wrong, I should tip her off 😉 Do you know anything about this.
I think the publix school days is an manufacturers coupon that is only for publix. I havent seen the book yet, but from the picture it looks like it.
Hi Kayla! Thanks for the comment – this is why I gave the “disclaimer” at the top of this post about each Publix having different policies. The cashier at Publix today allowed me to use both coupons. I showed her both and she was fine with me using both. You are correct that Publix is not reimbursed for either of the coupons. However, this is one of those areas that each Publix location creates their own policy on (if that makes sense). So, one Publix may allow it while another may not. Definitely ask your customer service if you are able to do it. You never know, maybe you will be able to too! 🙂

Hi Amy! Okay, if you shop at the same Publix I shopped at today then you will have to be on the lookout. Here’s the best way I can describe where to find the tearpad (it isn’t in an obvious place).. As you walk down the aisle with the nuts heading towards the back of the store, when you exit the nuts aisle, look to the left. There is a small display with nuts next to the refrigerated dairy section (I think it is dairy? Sorry, I don’t shop there regularly so I don’t know the store by heart ;)) Anyways, if there is a display with Planters in it, look at the display carefully because there is a tearpad on it w/ $1/2 Planters manufacturer coupons on it!
Liza, I went to the same publix on 54/little and thought the athenos was not bogo as well…..the athenos in the deli cooler are not bogo but I did find smaller athenos bogo by the kraft cheese section. Just an FYI.
I found the smaller containers of Athenos next to Kraft cheese B1G1 as well!
I went to publix today, no more tearpads for the peanuts,but I did find $1 off ground beef when you buy the hamburger helper that was b1g1 and only .05 with coupons.. so I stocked up on meats today.
Bummer on the peanuts tearpad but awesome score finding the $1.00 off ground beef coupon! I’m so jealous! 🙂
Yeah, I was gonna stock up for the parties around the holidays, but it is ok, I did get 2 containers of the nuts just to have. I really needed to get more hamburger so it worked out 🙂
