Life is so busy for me this time of the year. I work extra long hours, we have more get-togethers with friends and family AND I have a 3 year old who never.stops.moving. In the midst of the hustle and bustle, it’s easy for me to get overwhelmed. Have you tried Huggies Clutch ‘n Clean Wipes? I just tried them for the first time. I love them! They make my crazy days a bit less crazy because I know I always have wipes handy to tackle all of the messes my son brings!
I purchased two packages of Huggies Clutch ‘n Clean Wipes at CVS. I keep one package for myself and hubby keeps the other package. These wipes are dermatologically tested and mom approved. And do you know what I love the most about them? The handle. I know that may sound silly. But I usually have my hands full when I am out with my son. So being able to hang my wipes right on my wrist helps immensely. The wipes are also in a small enough package that I can fit them in my purse. But for us, it’s better for me to have them ready to go at all times.
Below are my tips for maintaining sanity while parenting a busy toddler.
Step One: Bring Huggies Clutch ‘n Clean Wipes in the car with you when you head out to run errands with your child. Wipes clean so much more than potty accidents – I find myself using them to wipe my own hands after getting into my car!
Step Two: If your child has a snack in the car and gets messy, use the wipes to clean up the stickiness. If your child is independent like mine, have him or her do it themselves. And then, if your child insists on holding the clutch instead of giving them back to you, choose your battles. Sometimes it’s easier to let them win versus deal with yet another tantrum. 😉
Step Three: If your son gets easily distracted, like my son did pushing his monster truck in the dirt, have your wipes handy to clean off his hands when he gets back into the car. Tip – sometimes I even use the wipes to clean the bottom of his shoes so that he doesn’t kick dirt onto the seat in front of him.
Step Four: You should know this, but little kiddos need snacks. And often. If you decide to grab a coffee at the local donut store because your eyes are heavy and you are exhausted, don’t expect to be able to drive through without getting donut holes for your child. Again. Choose your battles. The Huggies Clutch ‘n Clean Wipes come in handy to clean your little one’s hands prior to them stuffing their face with the sugary sweetness known as mini donuts.
Step Five: After your child finishes their snack, it is important to use the wipes to immediately remove all stickiness from their hands and mouth. Otherwise, your child may use your furniture (or your own clothing) to wipe their hands and mouth on. (Don’t ask me how I know this!)
Step Six: Since naptime is coming up and your child is now wired from the donut holes, consider taking them outside, even in the pouring rain and letting them jump in puddles. Or, if they don’t want to get wet, push them in a stroller like mine. And, hang the The Huggies Clutch ‘n Clean Wipes from your stroller to have handy in case your child decides they do, in fact, want to get wet and jump in mud puddles.
Step Seven: If your child is still in diapers, these wipes are a no brainer for diaper changes. My son is potty trained but I still like to use wipes on him if he goes number 2 or for those moments when his aim is a bit off. 😉
Step Eight: Now should hopefully be naptime. I know I wish it was naptime for me… but it is definitely naptime for my 3 year old. I keep my wipes on my son’s changing table so that they are ready to go once my son wakes up ready and rearing to go.
After naptime, I basically go through these steps all over again. The joys of parenting a 3 year old!
