Having little kids, we find ourselves taking pictures of them with our phones almost every day. Because the pictures are digital, we find that oftentimes, we save the pictures on our phones and then forget about them. Gone are the days of having film developed! When Nixplay asked me if I wanted to review this Nixplay Iris Digital Photo Frame, I jumped at the opportunity knowing that we would make good use of our frame!
This Nixplay Iris 8″ Wi-Fi Cloud Photo Frame is a perfect gift for moms and grandmothers! The Nixplay Iris frame makes it easy to get in touch with your photos holding up to 25,000 photos! With this photo frame, you can allow friends and family to share photos wirelessly to your Nixplay Wi-Fi Frame from anywhere in the world. The Nixplay Iris comes in three finishes: Peach Copper, Silver and Burnished Bronze. I chose Peach Copper for our frame.
I know that one of the common concerns for lots of people is that it may be too complicated to set up a device like this. Let me tell you, it was simple. It took me about 5 minutes to have my frame set up, working and displaying photos.
First, you need to unbox your Nixplay Digital Photo Frame.
In the box, underneath the photo frame is the remote control (for the frame), the power outlet and the USB cord.
To plug the frame in, you just need to connect the USB cord to the frame and then plug the USB cord into the power outlet.
Next, you will need to connect the frame to your WiFi. You will use your remote control to type in your password.
Once you’ve connected it to your WiFi, you can download the free Nixplay app to your phone or computer or both. When using the Nixplay app, you can take photos and immediately display them instantly using the Nixplay Mobile App for iPhone & Android or email them directly to the Nixplay Iris Frame.
You can also use the Nixplay app on your computer and upload pictures from Facebook, Instagram, Dropbox, Flickr & Google Photos. The process is quick and easy. My only complaint is that when I used the Nixplay app on my phone, I was only able to upload 10 pictures at a time to my phone. So it took a little while to select and upload all of the pictures I wanted to.
The finished product is a picture frame that beautifully displays pictures with a high resolution display. Below is a quick video showing how awesome our frame is. My kids LOVE this frame. They’ve been standing in front of it for 20 minutes watching all of the new pictures appear.
Some other fun features of the Nixplay Iris is that it has an activity sensor. When you turn the activity sensor on, when the Nixplay Iris detects noise from your activity, it will turn on. You can also select what times the Nixplay Iris turns off whether it is with 30 minutes of inactivity, during nighttime hours, etc etc. The Nixplay Iris also has a light sensor that automatically adjusts the screen based on the ambient light levels in your room. This allows for perfect displays of pictures all day long.
