Okay – fellow Savings Addicts if you are looking for something to watch on TV tonight, you might want to check out CNBC. CNBC will have a show called Supermarkets Inc. It will air at 9 pm EST and I am thinking that from watching this show, we may learn a few tricks as to how to save even more money! 😉 The description for Supermarkets Inc is: “The typical modern American supermarket stocks 48,000 items, each battling for precious shelf space. How do they get there? Why are they arranged the way they are? Did you know that some stores use heat maps to track which aisles you walk down — and which ones you don’t? Or that they put the milk at the end of the aisle so you’re forced to pass a hundred other items on your way to get it? It’s all done to gain an edge in a cutthroat business built on razor-thin margins.”
If you end up watching this, please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts! I will be DVRing it with the hopes that I can learn new tips to teach all of you! 🙂

I was reading about that this morning.
It seems that we as couponers, who like to stick to lists and budgets, are the antithesis of the goals supermarket planners.
The show was very interesting, but a bit disturbing in how people are viewed as cattle to be herded.
