Okay so today’s grocery shopping was a HUGE success because of an email I received from JB. JB emailed me to let me know that there are $1.00/1 Emerald Nuts coupons that would go with this week’s sale (my matchups showed $1.50/2). So, I was able to score great deals on the Emerald Nuts which made me really happy! And, my favorite purchase was the Steamfresh and Bird’s Eye vegetables. We eat a lot of vegetables in this house and one of the ways I try to save money on produce is to buy frozen veggies (hence my purchasing 9 bags today ;)). So, for all of you out there that eat healthy and email me telling me there are never good deals on healthy foods, this is perhaps a good deal for you! If you purchase the Steamfresh or Bird’s Eye veggies without (key word is without) sauce then you are buying frozen veggies with only one ingredient – the veggies! There are no preservatives, no fattening sauces, nothing besides veggies (check out the list of ingredients and you will see this). 🙂
And – for all of you who read last week’s Photo Show and Tell, I did end up getting a phone call from my store’s head manager and he and I had an awesome conversation. Publix works really hard to provide excellent customer service and I saw this as I spent a good 20 minutes talking to him. It seems he and I are on the same page, so I was extremely pleased. And, supposedly Publix is in the works to put together some sort of written coupon policy which in my opinion would be awesome. If all of the stores could be on the same page and have the same policies there would be so much less confusion over the “gray” couponing areas. And, as you all have probably realized, Publix is starting to tighten their couponing policies – not because they want to be strict but because of the people that abuse the policies. I have heard some horrible examples of people photocopying coupons, using fake coupons, returning items they paid next to nothing on to get the cash, etc etc. It is the “bad seeds” out there that ruin it for all of us. SO – remember that Publix has awesome sales. They give us awesome store coupons. There is no reason that we should take advantage of them. And – as a side note, if any of you have any questions as to what is allowed versus what is fraudulent, please do not hesitate to email me at addictedtosaving at hotmail dot com.
The items I purchased today coincide with this week’s Publix Weekly ad. To see this week’s ad & coupon matchups, go HERE.

**Disclaimer**
1) My Publix allows us to use more than one of the samePublix store coupon and/or competitor coupon. Not all Publix locations allow this. You should ask customer service if they allow this before loading up your cart.
2) Not all Publix locations allow overage. If your Publix does not allow overage, they will usually adjust the value of the coupon down so that you receive the item for free.

Great job as always Liza! Glad that Publix is working on a coupon policy so everyone knows where they stand. BTW I LOVE my Publix! They are so coupon friendly and the cashiers that know me are always dying to see how much I save 🙂

Where did you get the Publix $3 off $30 coupon plus the Winn Dixie Coupon $10 off $50.00?
Kathy says
I’d like to know too! Liza, it would be great if you posted where these coupons come from.
Andrea Lux says
I found a $2.00 coupon off for Sominex at essentialsforlivingwell.com. Where can I find the $1.50 coupon?
Cyn D. says
So I have 3 computers and two printers at my house and often print the same coupons from both. Is that “legal”?
Liza says
Totally legal! 🙂 I do the same thing. As long as you print within the limit for each computer then you are totally fine!
kirsten says
How do you manage to get all these overage items? The shelves of every pulic I go to are empty. The sominex for example, I’ve been to 4 publix’s several times and there are never any there.
Michelle W says
My publix had the Athenos yogurt on sale 10 for $10 so I got 2 for free!!!
Rocki says
Still can’t see the Sominex $1.50 off one. Where is that coupon?
Liza says
Eek! I forgot to respond to the question earlier about where the coupon is! I think I just stumbled across it while looking for other coupons! Let me go check right now because it isn’t in the database! :/
Liza says
