Did you purchase the FTD Groupon deal I posted about last week? I did. My husband was going to use ours to order flowers for me.. And let me tell you, the amount of money he would have owed at checkout was staggering. (He could have gone to Publix and purchased me 2 dozen roses for the amount FTD was charging for just 5 roses and some filler carnations…) Today Michelle emailed me a link to an article on the FTD and the Groupon deal. I did some additional research and found another article on MSN.com. It seems that FTD raised their prices for Groupon customers. This is SO upsetting when we already had to pay $20.00 for the FTD certificate. I have two articles you can read regarding this situation HERE and HERE. If you purchased this deal and used it this past weekend, it seems you have a couple of options 1) FTD will reimburse you the price difference between the sales price and what you had to pay 2) FTD may even refund you in full if you pursue a full refund 3) Groupon will refund you for your Groupon purchase.
**Side note – I post a lot of deals and I have to say that one of my favorite “deals” companies is Groupon. Do not let this deal discourage you from purchasing future Groupons. Also – if you are upset about what occurred, email Groupon. Groupon has amazing customer service and I don’t think you will be unsatisfied with how they help you.
Groupon *DOES* have amazing customer service! I purchased a certificate for a spa up here and went in for a consultation and the owner was soooooooooooooo rude to me! When I got home, I promptly called groupon and nicely asked for a credit to my account, which they did- no questions asked 🙂 My total time on the phone to the time I got the credit was less than three minutes. I did not have to wait on hold at all!
