If you asked me what I did this weekend, I would tell you that on Sunday, I ran 10 miles at 5:45 a.m. and then went to church. And, I would say that Saturday night we went to dinner with good friends. But if you asked me what I did besides dinner out and running and church, I would say one word which is “WORKED”. Running this website is an amazing job. I love it. That said, I try really hard to turn my computer off on the weekends so as to let my mind “unwind” from couponing and deals. This weekend, however, I didn’t turn it off at all. Instead, I learned a new addition that I am unveiling today with the new Publix Weekly Ad.
Do you notice the ad looks different? I am so excited to tell you that Addicted to Saving now has a printable grocery list! So – that means you can check off each item that you want to purchase on each store’s ad and you can then print out your list which will include the items and coupon matchups for the items! That way, you can print out each and every item that you want to purchase and then print off your list to take right to the store with you!! And, you can even type in additional items that you need to buy! How does that sound?
Now – I know that change is going to be fun for some of you and horrible for others. I know that not everyone is good with change and I ask those of you who dislike change to just bear with me because I think you will learn to like this. I also want you to know that this is a work in progress. For example, one of the things missing from this week’s Publix Weekly Ad is the categories. For some reason, I couldn’t get the categories to upload. The colors are also missing. So, the Publix store coupons are not typed in green and my hot deals are not typed in red like they normally are. So, you will have to show me grace as I work on everything and work out the gliches. Also – you may see that the printable grocery list is not available on each and every store matchup you see this week. Eventually, you will see this on each and every store’s matchups.. Give me a few weeks and everything will be a well oiled machine, I promise! 🙂
In the meantime, to use the printable grocery list, follow the steps below:
1) Click the box to the left of the items that you would like to purchase.
2) As you click the items, you will notice that on the bottom right of your screen a box shows up titled “My List”. You will see that your list will show each item you are clicking.
3) Once you have clicked every item you want to purchase, click on the “Print” button on your list.
4) A new window will open and you can then type in any additional items you would like to buy when you go shopping. You can also type any notes you might want to remember.
5) Click Print.
Voila.
**If you are experiencing problems, please make sure you have an up-to-date internet browser. If you use Internet Explorer and have a version of IE6 or older, you need to upgrade your browser (it is free). Also, if you have a “Compatibility View” button to the right of your web address bar (the button looks like a piece of paper being ripped in two), click the button and you may see that everything is showing correctly.
**Please let me know any questions you might have. I will be checking this post throughout the next couple of days trying to help all of you. Thank you in advance for your patience as I try to work out the gliches. I hope you enjoy this – I think that it will benefit you immensely.

I love it! Definitely is a great idea. I definitely noticed the missing categories and the ever important red color. : ) But very understandable, I like being able to print my list straight from the website, I’ve seen a couple of other websites do that, but your lists have always been formatted better for me. Forgive my runon sentences, I just woke up. 🙂

Hi Lisa, Thanks again! How long does it take you to run 10 miles?
Addicted to Saving says
Hi Sherry! You are welcome! It depends on how my training is going.. Right now I’m not doing any speedwork so 10 miles typically takes around 86-90 minutes. If I’m doing speedwork, 10 miles is around 78-80 minutes. 🙂
