Oh Happy Day!! The list of stores participating in Kmart’s upcoming Double Coupon Event is posted! I read through the 30 pages of participating stores and was super excited to see numerous stores in my area included in the event! Go Here to see the stores included in this promotion! I have to be honest – I do not shop at Kmart. I can’t remember the last time I shopped there – probably 10+ years ago. Last year when I first started couponing, Kmart had one or two double coupon events and I felt I was too “green” to participate. Not anymore! 🙂 And, I’m going to try to make everything super easy to understand so that EVERYONE feels comfortable participating in this event! Below is a letter Kmart sent out regarding this upcoming event. I have highlighted some information that will be important to remember:

Dear Valued Customer,
Thank you for your recent correspondence. We are always interested in hearing from our customers. We appreciate your interest in our double coupon event. This event is for select participating Kmart locations from 04/04/10 to 04/10/10.
The rules for this event are:
-Manufacturer Coupons up to and including $2 Value are doubled up to $2 no matter what the retail price of a single item is (Side note from Addicted to Saving – I thought I saw elsewhere that coupons up to $4 value would be doubled… I will do more research and see what I find out…)
-Does not include Kmart Store Coupons
-Does not include Kmart Pharmacy Store Coupons
–Limit 5 total coupons per customer per day

My name is Liza and I began my money-saving journey in the Spring of 2009 as a way to stretch a limited household income. I had lost my job and my hubby was self-employed. Please be aware everyone that you must first stop at the service counter and sign up for a FREE ShopYourWay rewards card (if you don’t already have one) in order to get the double coupons. Cashier has to swipe it first before ringing up any items or scanning any coupons. Do not leave the store with out chking your receipt to make sure your coups were doubled…if not, go right to the service counter and stand your ground! They wound up giving me a $7 gift card as I argued (nicely) that the notice I received about the event DID NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THE rewards card.
But now I can use the gc on my next trip: )But it took 45 min to get it straightened out.
