In continuation to the tradition we started last spring, I will hold live chats on Addicted to Saving’s Facebook page during the new episodes of Extreme Couponing. This fall, we are doing things different though! I will hold a live chat about Extreme Couponing AND I will also hold simultaneous live chat for all of you who do not watch extreme couponing! So, if you want to talk about the show, or if you don’t watch the show you can use the time to ask me any questions you might have. How does that sound?
So Wednesday at 10 pm EST, I will be onAddicted to Saving’s Facebook page. TLC will air two new episodes of Extreme Couponing. I will be on Facebook throughout the two shows and again – if you don’t watch Extreme Couponing, that’s okay – you can still join us! If you want to participate, make sure you already “like” Addicted to Saving on Facebook. (If you don’t, go HERE to “like Addicted to Saving.)
I don’t watch this, I also have a news media blackout. This is designed to intimidate people who use coupons. I don’t stay up that late either.
I was in line at Publix with a bunch of coupons for a Cat Food deal because a few local shelters and a TNR have been asking for donations and this was almost free after coupons. Some guy behind me was going on and on about how he sees what people who stockpile have, on that show, and it makes him sick. He couldn’t stop using the word. Somebody’s cats are getting fed, thanks. I couldn’t afford the loaf of bread he had in his hand.
A couple weekends later I meet some guy, sexist, who reminded me of him at a garage sale. He had 2 to 8 of every type of tool stockpiled in his garage. Probably didn’t use coupons to get them, he got them at his job at Lowes whenever they went on sale. He was very slow and wanted to work with the man in front of me only…I only was looking for one item, he didn’t even know it he had it in all that crap!
Lots of Extreme stuff in general goes on down here. I don’t see the use in talking about it because these guys will still be biased and think what they do is OK, no matter how selfish. Lowes probably encourages it.
