Well – as you can see from the picture above, there wasn’t much space left on our kitchen table after today’s shopping trip! So today I sent my husband armed and dangerous to Publix. I gave him a detailed grocery list and put together the scenarios and then sent him on his way. I’m fortunate because by now, after hearing me speak at dozens of seminars, he fully understands couponing. So, when I send him out, I very seldom worry. Today he did excellent. My only complaint is that didn’t get me whole grain Ritz crackers. But if that is my only complaint, we are doing good! 🙂
We did really well today – total spent was $28.97 on everything above 🙂 I was especially excited about the Zephyrhills Sparkling water deal. I love sparkling water and would drink that any day over soda or juice. So to get 12 bottles for free was an awesome blessing! In my notes below, I also give you a different scenario for Zephyrhills. We got our bottles for free but not with much overage. If you would prefer the overage, see my note below.
How did you do this week shopping? I hope you were able to spend less and save more than I did! Please leave a comment letting everyone know how you did!

Well, I got to meet your husband in the store for this trip! I didn’t fair as well as you both did, but I spent $37.84 and saved $124.11. That’s 71% savings! Not too shabby! Thanks Liza for all you do. It inspires so many.
Addicted to Saving says
Jeff was happy to meet a fellow couponer 🙂 Great job saving 71%! That is awesome!
Kathy says
What zip code did you use for the Zephyrhills Sparkling Water coupon? I can’t seem to find it.
Maria says
My daughter happened to find a $2.50/2 a&h toothpaste coupon inside the pkg this morning…so I will be getting more toothpaste. My sister likes it a lot and she’s coming for xmas so I will give it to her…she lives in PR…she doesn’t think she can find it there. I don’t care much for a&h but happy she’s able to use it/likes it. I price match the potatoes at wlmrt with the aldi’s ad cuz on their ad they have the potatoes $1.99 for 10 lbs…I thought it was a great deal. I din’t want to use the nabisco bogo cuz it says “redeem at walmart.”Liza, I am suprise you didn’t get any sundown…for the overage…lol!!! Just a little I ended up getting some this week. Great savings.
Steve says
Check your receipt, the Nabisco B2G1 coupon had a max value of $2.50. Curious if it rang up at the full $2.99 per box value?
Kathy says
My cashier only gave me the $2.50 on the B2G1 coupons, and pointed out that was the max value. I never even saw it on the coupon! I was able to 2 – $1/1 Mfg coupons on Nabisco crackers with the B2G1 though and got 4 boxes for total of $1.48!
Addicted to Saving says
Hi Kathy and Steve – mine did as well – I typed up my Photo Show & Tell and mistakingly wrote in that the value of the box was subtracted. In reality only $2.50 per box was subtracted. My error.
Steve says
Thanks Liza,
We did our shopping last night and got 6 boxes of Nabisco crackers. Our store let us use 2 B2G1 coupons and 4 $1/1 coupons resulting in a $.03 moneymaker :).
Also, check your St. Pete Times 10/23 RP insert for Zephyrhills Sparkling Water B1G1 coupons. We found 2 from the St.Pete Times and 1 from our Citrus County Chronicle and combined them with 3 $1/1 printed coupons for 6 free bottles of water and a $3 moneymaker. I wonder why the B1G1 RP Insert coupon was never mentioned in any of the weekly ad matchups or the coupon databases?

because they expired on 12/4.

I just got done at Publix and hit it bog with the I can;t believe butter, mayo bogo, orieda, birds eye, and crackers, also I was surprised on glory veggies. They took all my coupons, including the b2g1 on crackers and walmarts extra bakery item when you bought the two butters. my husband went with me for the first time and he was amazed, we saved 97.54 in all, paid 85 and 40.00 of that was meat for the month and little extras like his 6 pack of bear, cookies from the bakery and produce. I haven’t sorted through the entire receipt yet but I am so happy!!!

I had a great day shopping yesterday. I got 445.00 worth of groceries for 189.00. I bought a prime rib roast for 52.00 or 5.70 a pound and had i cut into steaks, the pre cut ribeye steaks are 7.99 a lb, saved 2.20 lb by doing it that way. I also got 20 boxes of the Nancy’s appetizers ( mini quiche, mini crab cakes and deli spirals) for 50 cents a box, save $60by using 10 $5/2 Target coupon and 10 $1/2 man. q’s. I am hosting a bridal shower tonight so that is so cheap. Also like the BOGO spinach dip and King’s bread Publix Q combined with the King’s bread man Q. I got a big Bag of Iams so out of the $189, $75 was for meat and dog food. I was happy.

My publix will not accept the Nabisco B2G1 coupon because it says walmart on it. I may have to return some of my Nabisco as I was not prepared to spend all of that this trip. Any ideas?
