My name is Liza and I began my money-saving journey in the Spring of 2009 as a way to stretch a limited household income. I had lost my job and my hubby was self-employed. The company moved to Westchase after selling the Groupons and the owner slyly doesn’t mention that she moved from Lutz to quite a distance away. In addition, her customer service skills are oriented to her own convenience and self-interest. When I was ready to go pick up the cupcakes and noticed the address change, she berated me for not having noticed her change in address before she had bothered to make my cupcakes.
I didn’t even make it that far…I printed off my Groupon to pick up in Lutz (made a special trip out there for my cupcakes) to only realize that the address leads you to a gated community! I tried calling the number on the Groupon but it went straight to voicemail. I called 411 on my cell to try to find the correct address (still thinking it’s in Lutz) but they couldn’t find any business under that name…finally called Groupon and we figured out that they had moved to Westchase. By this time – I was over it. I might pick up the cupcakes when I get to Tampa but sounds like they are not too friendly. So you need to call ahead to order cupcakes and/or use Groupon?
Wow. These situations sound horrible. I wonder if there is a way to contact Groupon to get your money back? I had an awesome experience using groupon a few weeks ago but yours sounds horrid! I just spoke with a girl at Groupon two days ago. Next time I speak with her, I will mention this situation.
