This is another week where I’m not sure what to think! There are some good sales, but it’s not one of those weeks that have a ton of stockpile pricing – mainly because a lot of the sales don’t have coupon matchups to go along with them. What do you think? Is there anything you wish was on sale, but it’s not? Do you see any deals I missed? As always, I’m showing every single Buy One Get One Free sale & coupon matchup and I’m showing the highlights from the rest of the ad. To see the entire ad, go to I Heart Publix.
******Five Main Notes to my readers :
1) If you are new to saving money at Publix, read my Intro to Publix post. 2) When Publix has a Buy One Get One Sale, in order for most Floridians to receive the second item free, we have to buy both items. Other states only have to buy one item and they will get that item half (50%) off. 3) For Floridians, if we use coupons 50 cents or less, our coupons are not doubled. Other states will double coupons as long as they are 50 cents or less. 4) Publix accepts competitor store coupons! HOWEVER, each Publix store accepts different competitors based on the proximity of the competitor’s location. Ask your Publix who they consider as competitors! 5) To see Publix’s ad, go Here!Buy One Get One Free

the palmolive link goes to light bulbs.
Liza says
Thanks for the head’s up Cindy! Fixed the link!
Cathy says
The Palmolive coupon also says for 20 oz or larger bottles whilst the sale is for 10 oz bottles. 🙁
Julie says
Anyone know about the red baron by the slice? Is it included in the sale?
Kim says
My store didn’t include the pizza by the slice!
Lisa says
Liza,
I am just wondering about the M&M’s…the coupon states free up to 2.99. I know my store won’t take off more than the up to amount.
Liza says
Lisa – I think you are right! I haven’t looked at my M&M’s coupon to see the verbiage but if it says up to $2.99 then your store will either not take the coupon OR they will take the coupon but will only take off $2.99. Good catch!

Liza says
Carmen – okay – what B1G1 coupon are you talking about? I know I’ve seen a B1G1 but I can’t place which one you are talking about..
Liza says
Eek! I remember what you are talking about. I have no business blogging at 11:27 pm 🙂 Yes, you can use the B1G1 and the $4 coupon to get two free 🙂
Marykay says
I have to say, I’m not very impressed with this week’s ad, but I guess you can’t win ’em all. I’m really hoping Goodlife Recipe Cat Food will be BOGO again soon!!
Angela says
I had my first bad experience at Publix today. Son has had sinus issue going on for a couple of days, so doctor said to get him Claritin. I wanted to pick up a couple of the dove deodorants also because my regular Publix is always out of them, so I went to different location. I had 2 coupons for children’s claritin, 2 each for 4 Doves (1.50 mnf and .55 Publix), the $1.10’s for the GoGurts, and the 2 coupons for the Schick shaving cream. The cashier had a real attitude when I handed her the coupons and then she said I had “too many”. I had even bought a little car for my son (with no coupon 🙂 Well, she then proceeds to start scanning and then stops and says the computer will not take anymore. The manager must have been watching her or my frustration, because she came over and manually put in the last 2 and thanks me, etc. etc. Whatever, but then when I got home, I discovered that she had not rung up one of the GoGurt coupons. That was $1.10 that I used my ink to print out, thank you very much. Anyway, back to my regular Publix from now on!
Liza says
Hi Angela – You might want to go back to the “bad” Publix OR when you go to your regular Publix bring your receipt and tell them about the $1.10 missing coupon. I’ve found that overall, Publix has awesome customer service managers who will help you out when there was a coupon mistake..
brianne says
I found a $3.00 off tropicana wyb 6 quaker items tear pad on the coupon rack at Citrus Park. I’m using it with the quaker chewy bars that are b1g1 🙂
carmen says
i am going to attempt publix tomorrow, but wonder if it will cause a problem giving them a rain check for the dove deodorant and 2 $1.50 off Dove coupons. I am so nervous about it! LOL. Keep your fingers crossed! all the publix stores in my area have been out of 1/2 of the stuff I go to buy. 🙁 not sure how well rain checks and coupons will mix.
Liza says
Hi Carmen! I was kind of nervous the first time I used my raincheck and coupons, too. But, I had no problem at all. I would make sure to buy something else along with it because of the overage but you should not have a problem. And just a note, scan your other items first in case your cashier does the coupons with the items, that way you won’t have trouble with the register and overage. Publix is usually very coupon friendly, good luck! (This is actually Kara the other video blogger)
carmen says
ok. Publix and I broke up today. Our relationship is over. I am sure we will get back together soon. but come on. They were out of 1/2 the stuff I needed yesterday. got rainchecks. was told truck would be in at 4am and the stuff would be on the shelves by the time they opened (which is 8am, which I thought would be impossible). Planned to do my other grocery shopping first, then look for the stuff they said would be in. I learned that the yellow tagged stuff (has a yellow tag on the shelf under the product) are low velocity items and come on a separate truck from the reg. groceries. I don’t like to complain, but I asked an associate, and she said that all the publix stores have automatic (computer based) ordering. So this is why they are out of so much stuff. I did call corporate to let them know that I think their new system is broken. It is very upsetting to me to work until 4 in the morning, stay up most of the night with a fussy 2 month old, get up at 9, head to Publix, get a cart almost full of groceries (stacked around an infant car carrier) only to have to put everything back (with a screaming infant) because they didn’t have most of the stuff I needed. (thanks for letting me vent). I had them sign off on my coupons that I got from sweetbay ($5 off of $30) since they expired before I could use them…anyone else have this problem? oh and lately, the Tarpon Springs Publix has had expiring or very close to expiring meat and milk on their shelves…
Liza says
Hi Carmen! I understand the sadness you are probably feeling since you broke up with Publix. However, I know that when the next sales cycle comes around, you will get back together with Publix. Haha. In all seriousness though, I’ve had a few “issues” with Publix lately as well. I try to remember all the awesome experiences I have at Publix and it usually helps me forget about the few and far between problems I’ve had. 😉
Kim says
My Publix had a $5.00 rebate(wyb 2) peelie on the Sorrento Stringsters! On sale 2/$6 then 6 coupons for $2 each then 3 rebates for $5 each! Awesome deal! So glad my kids love cheese sticks!!!
Rocki says
Where do you get the rebates on the cheesesticks?
Cynthia says
The rebates were stuck to the outside of the bag of cheese sticks.
My Publix had been out of the John Frieda products since the coupon came out in the Sunday paper. I was told they would restock yesterday. I went in the afternoon and shelf was still empty. I waited a few hours then called and spoke with mgr. He took my phone # and checked truck they were still unpacking. He called me back, asked how many I wanted and put them behind the counter to pick up last night. Thought that was awesome!!
