You can tell that grilling season is upon us! Publix has given us some great BOGOs for hot dogs and ketchup! Please leave a comment if you see any missing coupons, unadvertised deals or typos! This is the Tampa Bay ad-scan so if you live in a different area, you may find different pricing.
******Five Main Notes to Publix Shoppers:
1) From time to time the print limit will be reached on printable coupons. You will know the print limit has been reached if you go to print a coupon and you receive an error message, a message stating you have already printed the coupon, or you just don’t see the coupon.
2) When Publix has a Buy One Get One Sale, in order for Floridians to receive the second item free, we have to buy both items. Many other states only have to buy one item and they will get that one item for half (50%) off. Most matchups below are based on “True BOGOs.”
3) For Floridians, if we use coupons 50 cents or less, our coupons are not doubled. Many other states will double coupons as long as they are 50 cents or less.
4) Publix accepts competitor coupons and allows for one competitor and one manufacturer coupon on one item. Ask your Publix who they consider as competitors.
5) If you live in Florida, our sales cycle starts on Thursdays

This is just a suggestion. I was wondering if there could be a way for you to mark which coupons come from the Tampa Tribune; like with a TT or something after it? I feel like I spend so much time searching for coupons that we didn’t even get.
thanks for all you do! :))

The American Express gift card should read $95.95 after activation fee, not $94.05. You have to add the $5.95 activation fee back to the $90.00 charge for a total of $95.95 rather than subtracting the $5.95 from the $100 in case it makes a difference to anyone wanting to purchase one.

Are the onions a 3 or 5 pound bag? It says 5 lb, for $2.99 or $0.99/lb, but that would be the price for 3 pounds. Also, if it is 3 lb the coupon can’t be used as it is for 5 lbs.+.
Addicted to Saving says
Hi Mary! If you get the bag, it is 5 lbs. Otherwise, if you purchase just a few onions, it is $0.99/lb. You can use the coupon on either a 5 lb bag or multiple onions AS LONG as they weigh at least 5 lbs. Hope that helps!

Just wanted to say thank you for your website. This helps me so much with my prep time and I have found that I use addictedtosavings.com more than I use couponmom.com. You are awesome!!!!!!!

I have two questions/suggestions:
1) do you mark items that are stockup, free or moneymakers with any special symbol? or maybe put them at the top?
2)would love to see the Tampa Tribune coupons marked with TT or something to show what the local coupons are.
Love your site and your hard work…..:))

Hi Sissy! To answer your questions 1) I highlight every deal that is free or worthy of stocking up with red font. So, if you see something in red, you can know that it is a great deal. For produce and meats/seafoods, I put two “**” before the deal to note if it is good. 2) Regarding Tampa Tribune coupons – your idea is a great one. That said, it takes me between 5 – 6 hours to match up every deal with the coupons when I work on the weekly ad every Sunday night. So looking up each coupon in my inserts to see which ones are local would just add more time to the already lengthy process. I may be able to start that in the future?
Thanks for the comments! 🙂

I am SOOOOOO thankful for everything that you do and for the HOURS you spend doing all of this!! You are my lifesaver – I’m a mom working 40-45 hours a week with two kids and a very small budget! You honestly help us put food on our table. I use nap times on weekends to get my coupons ready for my publix shopping trip… oh and I SOOO LOVE PUBLIX!!! Thank you again Liza, you are an amazing woman!!
sissy says
thanks…I will be looking for the red and the **
I didn’t know you couldn’t separate the coupons on your database to only reflect the local paper, too bad! Because there isn’t anything more frustrating then looking through an insert 5 times to finally realize that I must not have gotten that coupon.
Now there is a job for someone who is computer/database savvy, make a way to allow only the local coupons to pull over to the matchups or atleast to mark them.
Thanks so much for all your hard work, and I have been following your adoption blog too. So exciting; I pray that everything works according to His will in your life.
Blessings,
Sissy :))

While knowing which paper got what coupons could be helpful in some ways, it could also be ridiculously time consuming. In my area alone, the DB News Journal and the Orlando Sentinel get two different sets of coupons and many times a coupon that may be in the tampa paper is not in my papers. I empathize with you . If you notice on both RP and SS there is a date and usually a 3 digit number, sometimes with a dash & addtl number. That is a version number for the RP or SS edition. In addition it will show the paper(s) that the insert is included it, but that is not all inclusive. Addt’l downfalls to having ONLY the Tampa or what ever paper with a particular coupon move over to the matchups would be someone like me that is not in your area would not know about a possible matchup that is available in my area…Also, if a coupon did not appear in your area(tampa) you would not know it was available and could not attempt to trade or buy it from another area. Liza, I know the time it takes to do matchups and track down & confirm possible coupons. I appreciate all your hard work!!!! I also appreciate your site on the whole as it gives me an idea of Florida pricing (my area is higher than Tampa many times).
Thanks for all you do!
Karen

Hi there everyone, love this sight and thank you so much for all your hard work you do on giving us all the heads up on all the deals. Always checking for the deals and coupon match up at Publix but I have noticed that Publix hasn’t been doing the 2/1.00 on their pop lately, any heads up on that one? Thank you so much and bless you and your family.

Sissy- I have learned that Tampa Tribune works best with the coupons and most, but not all of the time have the most matches with the coupons she posts from the news paper. I used to get Tampa Time (aka St Pete Times) and hardly ever had matching coupons, I started getting Tampa Tribune and I am fine now. I go to Publix every Sunday and buy at least four of them.
