I am almost ashamed to put this picture up! Hubby and I went to Publix tonight and as we were walking with our empty grocery cart, he looked at me and said, “Are you sure you are Liza from Addicted to Saving?” Our savings were paltry, I didn’t stock up on anything (except the, ahem, chocolate) and we barely took advantage of any of the sales!
This was a really crazy week for us. In fact, I apologize because some of my regular posts went by the wayside. We have had a really up and down week with adoption stuff and next week I will post about everything to fill you all in. Let’s just say that this week included many nights of way too little sleep, lots of nervous stomachs and lots of praying. But I’ll fill you in soon – promise.

Every time I leave Publix I go in the car and check my receipt. I have accidentally purchased items that appear to be BOGO but certain items are not included. I bring it back in the store and they exchange it and I get my money back.
Brittany – do you know what the funny thing is? My husband and I both checked the receipt right after we left the store because we thought the number seemed off! But we didn’t notice the mistake! We are running on empty today 🙂 I finally realized the mistake when I typed up tonight’s Photo Show and Tell.
No need to be ashamed. It was still a pretty good deal. Always remember family first, your true followers will understand.
Still the deal on the Dove chocolates alone was excellent!

Great job Liza, as always!! If any of you happen to get the oscar mayer selects on sale this wk 3/$10 – make sure to check the exp date…I bought some yeterday and didn’t notice till I got home – that the one I bought expired on 5/1…brought it back and they were happy to exchange it for me…they also called the meat dept to come and take all the ones – they thought were expired! By the time I got to the cold cuts – the meat dept was already there inspecting everything – this little things are very much appreciate it on my part!! Thanks!
Did you see the Spring gatherings booklet that has a $1 off one hidden valley salad dressing 16 oz or larger pulix coupon. It states limit one coupon per purchase but limit 4 like coupons in one shopping trip.
Oh that stinks. I have done that before and then realized it later on and called Publix and they have told me to bring my receipt and the item and they have issued the refund even a few days later. They are really awesome about it.
