I am extremely pleased with this week’s Publix sale! Lots of grilling and summer related sales since Memorial Day is this weekend! If you are new to viewing my Photo Show and Tells, each week, I do my Publix shopping trip and then photo what I purchased as well as explain what coupons I used for each deal. (Ten years ago I never would have predicted that I would be photographing everything I purchased at the grocery store ;)) I type up this Photo Show and Tell so that you can copy any deals you are interested in. You should also know that I have a huge stockpile of frozen meat courtesy of Zaycon Foods. Because of this, each week I focus on the best deals that I can add to my stockpile and/or give away to friends and family. My favorite deal that I took advantage of this week was the Morningstar Veggie Burgers. My hubby and I LOVE the Spicy Black Bean burgers and we especially love them when they are one sale BOGO AND there are $1.00/1 MorningStar Farms Veggie Product coupons to use along with them. These burgers do not expire until November ’12 and we are figuring 6 boxes should last us until then. Yummo. I also sent Jeff to Winn Dixie tonight to score FREE Ocean Spray Juice as well as some fresh produce.

Hi Liza, I love your Show and Tell! I have a question on the Vanity Fair napkins. If they are bogo at $2.29 and you only used a $1/2 coupon, how did you get them for $.15 each? I was wondering if it was a typo or you missed typing in a coupon?

LOL i did the same with the hot dogs too, i just realized it as i am looking at my receipt 🙁 i thought they were bogo for $3.99 and i bought “4” and used 2 .75/2 qs, ugh!!! i bought the hummus also, but i used one $2 deli with the spring booklet coupon because i was told by cs you can use that coupon as it is in the deli along with the stacy’s pita chips, she said i could use one on those too : ) man, i could have sworn those dogs were bogo 🙁 i got 67% savings, not that good but oh well 🙂 overall i hit wags and publix and i got $146 in groceries and spent $39 oop : ) that makes me happy, haha!!!
I am waiting for Oscar Mayer to send the Select Bacon to my store so i can use my FREE coupon..

Mape, I LOVE the Morningstar Black Bean burgers too. I don’t really consider them very spicy, but they do have great flavor. There are other great flavors too. I like the Asian burger too. I’m buying 6 also, but will probably mix up a few flavors.

I appreciate all the time and effort you put into this. I’ve learned so much and am so grateful. I shop at Publix in Lakeland and it seems that they are higher in pricing on a few items. For example the Sweet Baby Rays BBQ Sauce, I paid 2.49 BOGO. Thats alot of difference. I know you dont control it but any idea why? I’ve noticed over and over my Publix is higher than yours.
Hi Pam! Pricing definitely varies depending on where you live. In fact, sometimes I shop at a Publix that is about 10 miles farther away and I find their pricing will be a little higher from time to time. I wish I could give you more accurate pricing but I guess you will need to just estimate that your pricing will always be a bit higher than mine. Please don’t let this discourage you! 🙂
I see you mentioned sending your husband over to Winn Dixie for the BOGO Ocean Spray deal. How did it go for him? I also had the great BOGO coupon for free juice. Made sure one was Cherry, but the cashier said they changed their policy in November and I would have to actually “purchase one”, so I needed to get 3 to use the coupon. What a bunch of nonsense. She was a manager also, so didn’t really have any recourse. No reasoning with her. Very frustrating. Anyways I think I’ll try the other Winn Dixie out on Highway 19. This was the one on 54. I’ve never had issues getting two free. Were you able to get the deal? Thanks for all your hard work.

Yes, he was able to get the Ocean Spray juice for FREE (8 bottles). He said a manager had to come over to key in the coupons and at first wasn’t going to allow him to do it, but he “explained” how the coupons worked and it went through just fine. Has he learned how to coupon or what! 🙂
What a guy! Glad it worked out for you. I actually had 8 bottles also, but sadly my “explaining” skills must have been lacking. Or that manager was just a tough nut to crack. Thanks for the response. My coupons expire tomorrow. Maybe I’ll try again.

Liza, check your hot dogs.. i never check my expiration dates, my 8 year old who coupons with me realized the date of the dogs were expired once she took one out the next day.. i took all four packages back to publix and i was going to switch them out, however the first four i grabbed were all ready expired as of the middle of the month. i took my money and went to wags and i only paid $6.58 for all four packages vs $15.96 and these ones do not expire until july : ) : ) i always assume the dates are good, i guess i will be checking 🙂
