Another week has come and gone and I’m still not sure where the time has gone! I’m finding that all of my energy is going into working on Addicted to Saving and planning and preparing for our adoptions. So by the end of the week, I’m spent! Today hubby and I waited until the last minute to go on our almost weekly Publix shopping trip/date. And, we were too late. I could tell that many of you had already been to Publix because some of the deals I wanted to take advantage of were sold out! 😉 So, hubby dropped me off at home and then graciously went to a different Publix to finish up our shopping trip. The benefit of this is that we were able to use two $5.00/$30.00 Winn Dixie coupons. I’ve split both of the trips up so that you can see what I purchased at each store. I also should note that tomorrow I’m heading to Winn Dixie to purchase some more produce. I’m not loving Publix’s produce sales this week. (I did get a sneak peek at next week’s produce sales and there are some good ones!)

I saved 100% at Publix this week. I bought 2 Magnum Bars, 4 Oscar Meyer bolognas, 2 Coffee Mate (freebie coupon was about to expire), and 4 Reg Gold Tomatoes. Yes I went just for the freebies. My friend had to drive me since I totaled my car last Thursday. I had a BIG shopping trip at Kroger on Sunday, though that I went into more detail about. 🙂
Also 2nd trip, you forgot the cooking cream. 🙂 Just thought I would let you know. 🙂

Couldn’t you have just split your purchases into 2 transactions instead of going to 2 different Publixes???
Hey Bob – My Publix didn’t have everything I wanted to buy. A lot of the shelves were wiped clean. That is why I went to two Publixes 🙂
Ok… BTW I’ve only separated into 2 transactions 1 time and the cashier didn’t seem very happy about it. Kinda makes me think twice for doing it again. Do many people do the separate transaction/$5 off move? I don’t want to seem like those crazy folks on the coupon tv shows! 🙂
Personally, I don’t do two transactions because I feel like I’m taking advantage of their coupon policy. That said, I know a lot of couponers do. I think it is a personal decision as to what you end up doing. I would say that you should read the $x/$xx coupon carefully. Some of them (especially Sweetbays) will say “limit one per customer.” If it states that then you shouldn’t use more than one coupon – even if you do two transactions. 🙂 Otherwise, you could always ask the cashier up front if they are okay with you doing two transactions. I find that a lot of times, if I ask the cashier up front about a particular coupon I am going to use, they are usually more open to it versus catching them off guard. Hope this helps! 🙂
I live near you (Holiday), and couldn’t find any Snapware in my 2 closest Publix stores. I didn’t even see a spot for them. I was by the ziploc and Glad plastic containers in the paper aisle. Did you find them in a different section or which Publix are you shopping at…I can drive there NPR is so close!
Hello! I shop at the Publix in Trinity and I was able to get 6 Right Guard Deo for free! And I wanted to point out that they have a PUBLIX coupon for the Magnum Ice Cream up front for 1.25 use with the 2 mfg and its a .25 mm! Yay!
