Here’s another fun giveaway for you all!  Nivea is holding a “NIVEA Kiss of a Lifetime Contest” on their Facebook page. All you have to do is “Like” their page and submit your love story through their “Kiss of a Lifetime” app before November 13. The public will then vote on the most deserving couple who will win the grand prize of:

  • The couple will be flown to New York City where they’ll join Bill & Giuliana on the NIVEA Kiss Stage in Times Square on New Year’s Eve for the year’s most spectacular kiss.
  • Two exclusive VIP tickets to the New Year’s Eve party at the Hard Rock Café in Times Square.
  • The couple will appear in NIVEA Lip Care’s new commercial set to air on New Year’s Eve.

    I like “kissing at midnight” on New Years Eve just because it is a good way to feel connected to your loved one and it’s a positive way to start a New year!

    I do like the tradition! It’s fun and you can just kiss a friend if you don’t have a significant other.

    I have been single for many years and have spent many new years watching everyone else kiss……that is an uncomfortable situation – then some years – I got a kiss too 🙂

    Kissing @ midnight is ok. If you love your partner, why not show it. Besides there is a tale that says that what you do on New year’s Eve is what you will do the rest of the year. Kissing is far better than fighting!!

    Kissing at midnight is a great tradition because you can kiss someone you might have a little crush on, but are afraid to tell them.

    I don’t really like that tradition because it excludes some of the population who aren’t in relationships or some people get themselves into some trouble in order to have that kiss. I don’t know. I think it would be cooler if it was something everyone could do.

    Kissing at midnight is a cute tradition. I’ve never been able to do it though because my boyfriend and I are always in different cities for the holidays. 🙁

    I love the tradition of the 12:00 New Year’s kiss, but often times I find that I fall asleep before midnight. We have our own tradition. We kiss EACH night, regardless of the time or day 🙂

    Yes, I have been following this tradition for 43 years now with my husband. He was the boy next door and after 4 weeks of dating we were married.

    I think it’s a must to kiss my hot hubby at midnight on new year’s eve. it brings good luck to the whole rest of the year!

    We do not have a tradition of kissing at midnight because I cannot stay awake that long! So we just kiss whenever!

    We TRY to stay awake to smooch as the tradition encourages, however, with two kids, two and under, it’s difficult! LOL!

    My husband and I are both in the bar business, so we never get to kiss each other at midnight. Although, we do try to send a text kiss as close to midnight as possible.

    I like the tradition now that I have my husband available on NYE. (He was working our first several NYE’s together.) It is just a nice way to start off a new year. But I have to say that I hated the tradition when I was the one not getting kissed.

    I really like the kissing at midnight on New Year’s Eve. It is the start of a whole fresh new year, and thus it is the start of a fresh new year in your lives. Whether it’s your husband/wife or boyfriend/girlfriend, what a perfect way to start the year off right. A fresh new kiss.

    I definitely believe in kissing at midnight! What a way to start out the new year: full of love! In fact, I always kiss my husband and my son before going to bed and when saying goodbye (even if to go to the store for milk!)! You never know what tomorrow will bring. Kissing makes everyone involved feel great!

    I love the idea and custom of kissing at midnight on new years eve…New Years Eve at midnight,,,everyone gets a second chance to do what they love and be who they want and show love to the person they are with…find a guy who calls you beautiful, instead of hot, one who will kiss you in the grass as you lie underneath the stars, my husband and i were married by a justice of the peace on New Years Day..this new years, we will be married 25 years

    I don’t give it much thought. I just say Happy New Year to everyone and kiss everyone on the cheek. My husband and I don’t go out of our way to kiss exactly at midnight, we just kiss whenever. Sometimes it’s the first kiss and sometimes it’s the last kiss, which can be just as nice as the first.

    I adore this tradition!! I think that if you have someone to kiss at midnight, it means you’ll have an even better new year. I know that since I’ve been with my boyfriend I’ve never been happier to see the ball drop. That first kiss of the new year means starting fresh with the person who loves you most in life.
