I saw you on the home keepers, and heard you say you saved about$4.00 on $175.00 groceries. How can you do that if each etem has from .25 to maybe $1.00 savings? I have not been able to figure this out.
Hi Jeanette! The best way to spend very little on groceries is to really shop the sales. Meaning, to buy the items that are on sale. But beyond that, you really have to maximize the sale by using coupons. So, each week, I focus on the best deals that my family will use (or that I will give away). And, when there are great deals, I will stock up on them so that I don’t have to pay full price on them for months to come. If you want to check out an example of one of my shopping trips, go HERE. And, I’m not sure what grocery store you shop at but a good place to learn more about couponing is my post Intro to Coupons. Let me know what additional questions I can answer!
I was glad to see you on the show today. I have been spending a lot of time thumbing through 4 separate stacks of inserts to locate my coupons I need…didn’t ever think to stack them up like you showed to cut them all at once. Thanks so much for all your hard work to save us money!
