So, there has been a lot of things going on behind the scenes here at Addicted to Saving. Much more than just a server upgrade which you probably remember occurred last week. One of the changes which I am nervous about excited about involves video blogging. You all may remember my hesitation and nerves surrounding the first video blog that I posted HERE. Well, my friend Kara and I are going to start shooting more video on a consistent basis (hopefully it will become easier to be in front of a camera with time?) with the hopes that as we show you and explain how to match coupons with sales, you will save more money than ever before. This is our first video so far. All of the items we purchased at CVS are on sale from May 9th – May 15th. Would love feedback as long as it is constructive 🙂

My name is Liza and I began my money-saving journey in the Spring of 2009 as a way to stretch a limited household income. I had lost my job and my hubby was self-employed. I launched Addicted to Saving in November of 2009 and it has grown by leaps and bounds. Since then, my hubby and I have struggled with the ups and downs of two failed adoptions and are now LOVING being parents to our little man Asher who we brought home from Ethiopia in August of 2013. Loved the video. I always love when bloggers do videos. Feels like we “know” you better. I have yet to venture to CVS. As of now my addiction is at Walgreens.
When you say you scanned your card when you came in..where do you scan it? I have never stepped foot in a CVS before lol. Since you used the same ECB on milk that means you can always do that on all items, so you can roll them..unlike walgreens?

That was cool! Just one suggestion…don’t forget to check the CVS website for CVS coupons. They had a $1.00 store coupon for the U tampons that made it a $2.00 moneymaker. Y’all are a great team. Can’t wait to see more footage.

Great job! I love CVS. It’s much more straightforward than Walgreens. Alas, Walgreens deals you can do more times, but that usually means more OOP.
Hope you guys used the BOGO Cover Girl coupons on top of CVS’s BOGO promotion. I got $40 worth of lipstick for free!

Good video. The music in the CVS you went to was loud in certain spots. They had some good deals this week. I went today and spent a little over $8 and got $16 back in ECB’s! The lady at the front told me that if I give her the ECB’s before the manufacture coupons, I can get the subtotal reduced before tax is added. I did not know that. That takes some thinking and planning to see how many ECB’s to use, but another great way to save.
That was great! I would love to see the checkout process also. That’s where I run into trouble with the multiple transactions. You two included a lot of helpful information. I look forward to seeing and learning more! Thanks!!!!!
