Our lives have been utterly chaotic recently – pending adoptions, garage sales, fundraisers, my sister-in-law’s wedding, and a new floor being put in by my less-than-handy husband. With all the chaos our sweet little cat, Rosie, has been disrupted and quite honestly, just slightly neglected. So it was a great time to try out the new Arm & Hammer Ultra Last Clumping Cat Litter, which makes the claim that it provides powerful long lasting odor control that keeps working even when you can’t scoop. When we don’t scoop very often, you can see a definite “pattern” in Rosie’s bathroom habits. #1 on the right side of the litter box, #2 on the left side. Poor Rosie. To compensate for the odor, we’ll light a candle many times or use good-smelling plugins. But ever since our A&H Baking Soda Challenge, we have been sprinkling A&H Baking Soda on the carpet in the rooms near her litter box, as well sprinkle it in the vacuum cleaner bag, and it’s been a great success! Plus we feel like it’s treating the root of the problem by balancing the pH and not just masking the symptoms.
Thankfully, the A&H Ultra Last Cat Litter has aided in the cat odor coming from Rosie’s litter box. I guess since every granule is coated with A&H Baking Soda, it absorbs and regulates odor like our other kitty litter doesn’t do. Plus, it’s clumping litter, which is a MUST in our house – A&H Ultra Last does every bit as good a job as our current one, but does a better job with odor control.
