When I first started saving money, one of the reasons I got into it is because there were A TON of high value Kashi coupons to print out. I was printing out coupons left and right and getting a ton of Kashi cereal FREE or dirt cheap. I received an email from Vocal Point today offering an $1.50 off one box of Kashi Heart to Heart cereals or crackers. Yeah!! This coupon will go FAST. If you are interested, print it NOW. There are two common questions I frequently get asked about coupons and I really want to touch on them that everyone is on the same page.
1) Can I make copies of the coupons I print on my printer?
Nope! Coupons that you print out have individual bar codes which means each coupon is meant to be used only once. That is why coupon links run out of coupons quickly. Companies will only give out a certain number of coupons and once the limit is reached they will stop giving out coupons. Also, it is important to know that each coupon can be linked back to your computer. So, if two duplicated copies of one coupon are received at the store and then mailed to the manufacturer, the manufacturer can trace the computer that printed the coupons out and charge you with fraud for copying coupons. SO – THE LESSON OF THE NIGHT – do not copy coupons. Print out the coupons and once you reach your limit (usually two coupons per computer) you will have to have friends, family members, co-workers or go to the library to print out more coupons.
2) Can I use every coupon you post on your coupon matchups for just one item?
Nope! Today I posted Publix’s Weekly ad. Under Progresso soup, I listed out 5 different manufacturer coupons. Does this mean you can use all five coupons on just 3 or 4 cans of soup? NO. I am just listing out the potential coupons that you will want to be on the look out for. Every region of the state and country receives different coupon inserts each week. So, if I received a $0.50/1 cheddar cheese coupon on Sunday, you may have only received a $0.25/1 cheddar cheese coupon. I list out all of the possible coupons so that you know what to look for, what the highest possible coupons to use are and if there is a great coupon that you don’t have, you can know what to look for on ebay.com or Coupon Clippers. **Do remember that many stores (i.e Publix, CVS, etc etc) accept one store and one manufacturer coupon for one item. That is why I list out the store coupons and specify which is store and which is manufacturer.

I am regretting the fact that I printed my limit last week for Publix’s Excedrin sale. Time to call my mom and ask her to print two coupons out for me! =)
Next week Walgreens will have Excedrin Menstrual Complete (20-24 count) priced at $2.50. When you buy one box you will receive a $2RR. If you use one $2.00/1 printable coupon it will be a $2.00 MONEYMAKER excuse my math – my brain is tired – it will be a $1.50 MONEYMAKER!
Go Here to print the coupon out. To find it easily, click on the “Health Care” column. Don’t forget to print it twice!!

Two of my awesome readers emailed me pictures showing off their excellent couponing skills. I want to share these pictures with you because I want you to realize that ANYONE can save money. It takes a bit of time and it takes a bit of effort, but anyone can save big bucks. Not just me – the crazy Addicted to Saving blogger. And frankly, it is success stories like the ones below that inspire me to keep this blog going!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Below are two pictures Thomasina emailed me. Thomasina had an amazing trip to CVS. In two transactions she paid only $7.33 out of pocket for everything you see in the two pictures below. A Tide Stain Release, 2 Old Spice Deoderants, 2 boxes of Cheerios, 2 bottles of Nivea, 2 baggies of Power Bar Energy Gel and 5 packets of Gum. NOT BAD HUH!!! She did awesome!
Dee Dee emailed me the picture below and after Register Rewards, she spent only $0.88 cents on everything in the picture!! How absurd is that?!? Pull Ups, Body Wash, Kotex, Wet Ones, etc etc for $0.88 cents after factoring in Register Rewards! Amazing!
**Please email me your success stories! And, I know it’s a crazy concept, but if you have an excellent shopping trip, I would love to hear how much you saved and to see pictures!! Also, I am ALWAYS looking for deals to post on my website, so please email me with any deals, coupons, sales, unadvertised sales, etc etc that you see!
I’m curious if anyone tried the Gillette, Venus and Olay Body Wash deal that I posted on Sunday. (Go Here to see it) I went to two Targets on Tuesday (one Super Target, one regular Target). The Super Target had TONS of the Olay Body Wash giving $5 gift cards, but only 1 Venus and 2 Gillette razors. I didn’t want to do the deal unless I could get at least 3 Olay Body Washes, 2 Venus and 2 Gillette razors… The regular Target had the necessary razors, but NONE of the Olay Body Wash that gave the $5 gift cards. Argh.
Is any one else coming across this problem? The razors are too expensive for what I’m used to (I’m used to getting the Gillette razors free at Walgreens or CVS) for me to want to come out of pocket on them unless the entire scenario works. Thoughts? Anyone else dealing with this issue?
Publix has a great coupon sheet in their stores right now. You can also access the coupons online Here. The coupons are valid from today (2/17/10) through March 3, 2010.
Here are the Publix store coupons with manufacturer coupon matchups: $1.00 off the purchase of any 4 (four) Progresso Products (all sizes) Publix Store Coupon -$1.10/3 Progress Soups printable -$1.00/4 Progresso Soups any (4) – 02/07/10 GM -$0.50/2 Progresso Soups any (4) – 02-07-10 GM -$0.25/1 Progresso Soups any (4) – 02-07-10 GM -$0.50/2 Progresso Soups, Any – 01-17-10 SS $1.00 off the purchase of any 3 (three) Pillsbury Rolls, Squares, Breadsticks, Pizza Crust, Crescent, Loaf, Assorted Varieties (8 – 13.9 oz) Publix Store Coupon -.40/2 Pillsbury Crescent Rolls SS 1/3, 12/13, 12/6, 1/31
$1.00 off the purchase of any 2 (two) Green Giant Mushrooms, Asparagus or Specialty Corn Publix Store Coupon
$5 off the purchase of any 20 (twenty) participating General Mills Products **Participating products: Progresso Soup, Progresso 100% Natural Broth, Progresso Beans & Artichokes, Progresso Bread Crumbs, Progresso Vinegar & Seafood Sauce, Pillsbury Crescent Rolls & Breads, Totino’s Party Pizza, Muir Glen Soups, Muir Glen Tomatoes, Muir Glen Pasta Sauce, Green Giant Mushrooms & Asparagus, Green Giant Frozen Vegetables, Green Giant Canned Vegetables
All of the five coupons state “Limit One purchase per coupon per customer.” As usual with Publix, these coupons are subject to interpretation. A lot of the savings blogs out right now are giving extremely lenient scenarious on how to use these coupons. While I would LOVE to get 20 cans of soup for a little more than pennies, I would recommend you talk to your Publix’s customer service before making assumptions as to how you can use these coupons. Here are a couple questions to ask before you load your shopping cart with items you may not end up buying. (I am a big advocate of finding out the “rules” before starting to shop.)
