**THIS CONTEST IS NOW OVER. Thanks to everyone who entered!** P&G and My BlogSpark gave me an awesome challenge. It was a challenge I met with eagerness, although I have to be honest and say that I had MAJOR doubts. I was challenged to use a brand new baking dish (provided by P&G and My BlogSpark) and to bake Blueberry Cobbler in the dish. Let me tell you that Blueberry Pie is my favorite desert and Blueberry Cobbler is a close second. So far so good right? Well, let’s just say that the baking dish is bright white AND the remaining rules of the challenge were that I had to let the dirty baking dish sit for 24 hours before washing it with Cascade Complete All-in-One Action Packs. And, to top it off, once I put the baking dish in the dishwasher, I was not allowed to rinse it out or remove the blueberry goodness that was now dried up and caked to the sides!! My husband jokes that I wash my dishes before I put them in the dishwasher so this part of the challenge was difficult for me. The pictures below will show the before, during and after results! **Email me if you want the recipe – it was divine!
Crisp White Brand-New Baking Dish ready to be filled with marvelous Blueberry Cobbler.
Marvelous Blueberry Cobbler before being baked in the oven.
Hot Blueberry Cobbler fresh from the oven. If only you could have smelled my kitchen when this picture was taken. YUM.
Empty, dirty baking dish 24 hours after Blueberry Cobbler has dried and caked onto it. You don’t even know how hard it was for me to look at this dish sitting dirty on my counter for 24 hours!!
Tadaaa! After running my dishwasher with a Cascade Complete All-in-One Action Pac, the baking dish was perfectly clean, bright white and looks brand new again!! I was shocked!! I normally totally rinse off every item before putting them in the dishwasher so I was SO SO skeptical that the baking dish would turn out perfectly clean. But it did! I now LOVE Cascade Complete All-in-One Action Pacs and am excited at the concept that I no longer have to rinse out my dishes before loading the dishwasher!! What a timesaver!

I’d have to say hands down the messiest meal is lasagna. I don’t know if its the baked on cheese, the tomato sauce that hardens on the side or the sticky noodles. But I generally have to let that pan soak for at least overnight before I tackle it!
I am already a fan of yours on Facebook
My messiest baked dinner would have to be my mom’s Beannie Bake! It sounds disgusting, but it is baked beans, molasses and hot dogs baked with french fried onions on top! Childhood comfort food!!!
I just signed up for your newsletter today too!
Sounds like fun Liza-I don’t cook much but Lasagna is a meal that I would prefer to just throw the dish away when I’m done instead of cleaning it! I’m a Fan and subscriber already.
I just subscribed 🙂
what does mail mean? email or snail mail? I put email but not sure if that’s what’s required
probably lasagna…that one never comes out clean!

my messiest dishes are always from chicken enchiladas…that red sauce is alwyas a killer!!! 🙂

My messiest dish would probably be my wet enchiladas. I honestly would rather use throw away pans to make that but I don’t. The sauce and the cheese are the worst! I’m already a fan on Facebook (I check it constantly during the day) and already subscribe to the newsletter
I’m getting hungry looking at all the comments! Mine would be baked ziti! And Liza, I also clean my dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. 🙂
Like so many others, the 1st meal that comes to my mind is ooey, gooey lasagna, but isn’t it worth it?
It’s not actually my dish, it’s my 12 yr old daughters. She is learning to bake and makes this amazing berry cobbler! Sticky, yummy mess!
Broiling things like chicken (with the skin) and pork chops in the oven always leave my bakeware splattered with grease. It is a REAL pain and is usually impossible to get all of it off.
I made Enchiladas tonight and between the red sauce and the burnt on cheese in the casserole dish, it was tough to get that clean WITHOUT it sitting for 24 hrs.
Btw, I really do enjoy getting Addicted to Savings via FB. I probably save more now than I did before.
Mexican Lasagna.
I just subscribed to your newsletter, and I really, really LIKE you on FB!

Lasagna or any type of casserole. It just baked on with big crusty bits stuck to the pan.
My hubby usually does the dishes and he has a love/hate relationship with my homemade mac n cheese. He loves to eat it, but hates to clean it up. Cheese baked and hardened on the side…oh so good though.

I’m going to say Lasagna is the toughest dish with the combination of baked on cheese, the starch from the pasta and the tomato sauce seems to give the plastic things that “orange-glow” as the pan is being washed.

Hi Liza,
LASAGNA with lots of ooey gooey cheese baked on it is tough to clean. In the past I’ve put a fabric softener sheet in the pan with water and let it soak but it would be lovely to know tha I could just throw it in the dishwasher as I am also a pre-washer. I hope I win!!!

My messiest and hardest dish to clean is a lasagna ‘leftover’ pan that’s been baked and then stored in fridge for a day or two and then either re-warmed in the oven or the micro! I usually have to let it soak for several hours and then scrub.
