As you can see, we had quite the shopping trip today at Publix. Although, from the look on Asher’s face, it was obvious he wasn’t impressed and that he wished we could have saved even more. 😉 This is a fun time of year to go grocery shopping. All grocery stores will have “holiday related” foods on sale like fresh turkey and fresh ham, canned veggies, fresh and boxed potatoes, etc etc. I love to shop this time of year because not only will I get a great deal, but I also like to snag deals that we can donate. All year long we give food to friends, family and people around us in need. But this time of year I like to put together big boxes of food to give away. From today’s haul, the canned veggies, boxed potatoes, cake mix, Capri Sun and even the dog treats will all be donated. Love it!

Because of all of the “busyness”, hubby did today’s shopping trip. (Hubby told me that as a reward for his completing the lengthy grocery list and huge stack of coupons I gave him, he bought two bags of Tostitos chips. In his defense, they are on sale BOGO 😉 ) I stayed home and while Asher napped, was able to cook and type up the recipe for Sauteed Veggies with Breaded Paprika Chicken Recipe.
As a reminder, you do not see much produce in today’s shopping trip because hubby and I belong to a weekly coop. So, every week, we get a bin full of around 40 lbs of fruits and veggies.
