Today was another fun day to shop at Publix!  While I didn’t do any major stockpiling, I did take advantage of a vast array of deals and was able to get quite a bit for my money!  My favorite deal might surprise all of you because I didn’t use a coupon on it! I was excited about the BOGO Playtex Gloves deal.  I’m one of those people that can not do dishes or clean bathrooms unless I have gloves on my hands.  So to be able to get these gloves (in pink in honor of breast cancer awareness month) for $1.49 each made me very happy!

This week was also very special for our family.  This week marked 6 weeks since Asher has been home in the US with us and 8.5 weeks since he has been living with me.  AND, he turned one this week!  I posted some of the pics of Asher enjoying his Publix Birthday Smash Cake HERE.  Although, I can’t resist showing my favorite below 🙂  Asher really loved his Publix cake!

We had a family grocery shopping trip today. Before baby, hubby and I would often go shopping together. Now, with Asher here, sometimes I will go by myself just to get a bit of a break 😉 But today, all three of us went and had a great time. I ordered a cake for Asher’s birthday which is next week AND Publix is giving us the smash cake for FREE! Have I told you how much I love Publix? 🙂  I would say that one year flies by but really, Asher has only been living here in America with us for almost 6 weeks and he has been living with me for almost 2 months.  I can say that 2 months have flown by! We’ve gone through a lot and I know he will have more to go through but these past two months have been awesome!

Well, I can officially say that having kids makes time fly even faster. Hubby and I were just talking about the fact that this month is almost over. I have no idea where it went. Asher and I have been home in the states for one full month now. He’s been my son since August 1st – over a month and a half. What a crazy, exhausting, amazing, frustrating, exciting, did I say exhausting, month and a half it has been. While some of the past month and a half has been some of the hardest days I’ve ever lived, they have also been the most fulfilling. I can’t believe he’s been with me for over 45 days now. Time flies.

My Publix trip was great fun today! There is nothing like getting bags of Ore-Ida French Fries for $0.50 each! I know I know.. Not healthy.. But I’m telling myself that if I eat a huge salad and then have a small plate of fries, it won’t be a big deal right? 🙂  Hubby is excited about trying the Tyson Breakfast Bowls.  While I can’t say they appeal to me, he loves a quick breakfast that he just has to reheat!
