It is a great week to shop at Publix! They have some great sales and when you match the sales with coupons, you are going to save a ton of money! If you are new to my blog, my Photo Show and Tells not only show the deals I scored, but I also tell exactly how you can get the deal as well. 🙂 I had a few freebie coupons that expired the end of this month so I used them tonight. Another week has come and gone. Now that we are almost to the middle of September, I’m already starting to think ahead towards the holidays which is crazy! Time flies, doesn’t it? We have been juggling normal, every day life with all of our adoption preparations and planning. I get a bit overwhelmed if I stop and think about all of the things we have accomplished and yet at the same time still have yet to do. We’ve had a wonderful week this week! I never told all of you this while he was gone, but hubby was away for almost two weeks on a missions trip in Ethiopia and then Uganda. So it was just me “manning” the house, the pets and then of course blogging. Hubby got home over the weekend and life is slowly going back to normal which is nice. I also posted this just a few days ago but we have accepted a referral for a 2 month old baby boy in Ethiopia. (If interested, go HERE to read more info on our adoption blog) So life has been a bit crazy as we are scrambling to gather the necessary paperwork, schedule yet another homestudy and then schedule the necessary doctor appointments needed for us to have our adoption proceed quickly. It is crazy to think that in just two or three months we will be in Ethiopia. Hmm… I wonder if I will be able to blog while in Ethiopia? 🙂

With the craziness of my life lately, shopping hasn’t been a huge priority. But for the first time in a long time, I felt excited about this week’s shopping trip since there were some awesome deals to take advantage of! As you all already know, last night I sent hubby to Publix to get us 12 boxes of Dr. Pepper for $0.33 each. (Go HERE to see our photo show and tell from last night.) Well – you can see from my picture above that I didn’t purchase that many groceries today! Hubby has been out of the country for almost the past two weeks on a missions trip in Ethiopia and Uganda so I’m not going through a ton of food without him here! Because of that, my grocery list was short and I also didn’t find a lot of sales jumping out at me. But I’m really glad I was able to get the Helmann’s mayo deal and I’m also glad I decided to try the Ben & Jerry’s Greek Frozen Yogurt. (I opened a carton after taking the picture above and it is SO good.) Hopefully you were able to score some great deals this week!

Did everyone have a good week? I’m exhausted! This was a busy week for me. So busy that I contemplated skipping out on today’s Publix shopping trip. But looking at everything I scored, I’m happy I went. I was so excited to buy boxes of crackers for $0.50 each (stockpile price everyone!) and then to get Aquafresh toothpaste (awesome item to donate) and Chips Ahoy! Cookies for free! I noticed today that about 90% of the coupons I used (if not more) were printable coupons. I’m curious, are you finding that you are using more printable coupons than coupons from your Sunday coupon inserts? As a reminder, for those of you who are new to my Photo Show and Tells, I didn’t purchase any meat because I stocked up last time Zaycon Foods came to town (go HERE to learn about Zaycon Foods). And, I have been using Half Off Depot vouchers on Harr’s Surf and Turf to score awesome deals on fresh salmon so I have been set on seafood. Since I have a freezer stocked with meat and seafood, I focus each week on produce, dairy products and then the best deals that are available.
