Last night we took a family trip to Publix. Sadly, trips to Publix (with Asher) are sometimes what we consider date nights! How sad is that? Hubby has a retreat this weekend with the other leader’s of Man Up (the missions team that goes to Uganda & Ethiopia each year).  So hubby added lots of items to our grocery list as he is in charge of food.  In fact, I had to beg hubby to let me have a few Twix candy bars even though he bought 4 huge bags of candy bars for the men! Fortunately, he has a soft spot for me and he let me open the bag of Twix candy bars 😉  We definitely spent a lot of money this week. Hubby even went back to Publix today to buy more food for the guys – eek.  Fortunately, there are lots of deals to be had.  If you are having a Super Bowl party on Sunday, there are lots of deals that will help make dips, chili, wings, etc cheap to make!

Please remember that you do not see much produce in today’s shopping trip because hubby and I belong to a weekly coop. So, every week, we get a bin full of around 40 lbs of fruits and veggies.
