So, as you all know, I’ve been recovering from surgery for the past few days.  I thought I would be able to post more today but I’m seeing that I needed today to regroup a bit more.  Have you seen any great deals, freebies, coupons, etc that I have missed out on posting?  If so, leave a comment on this post so that everyone can get caught up!  When leaving your comment, give the direct website for the coupon, sample, etc!

Okay – I need to come clean.. So, I have been laid up the past couple of days not because I am sick but because I am actually recovering from surgery I had on Thursday.  I did a really good job (I think ;)) of scheduling posts on Thursday and Friday to keep you guys busy but now that it is Saturday, I don’t have my drugstore posts up and my husband won’t let me work.  SO – what I will do is give you a couple of my favorite deals for CVS and Walgreens and then I will give you a link to a website with all of the deals for you to check out.

I absolutely LOVE this post.  This is a guest post written by Freebies 2 Deals.  Freebies 2 Deals is a blog written by Melea who lives in Utah.  Melea wrote this awesome post about Coupon Burnout.  How to Deal with Coupon Burnout is great for anyone who has been couponing long enough that some of the appeal has lost its grandeur.  I know that I have experienced coupon burnout and when I did, I stopped shopping at as many stores.  I already had a great stockpile so it wasn’t a huge deal if I missed some of the great drugstore deals going on.  Have any of you experienced coupon burnout?

I will be the very first to admit that Coupon Burnout happens to me all of the time!  It probably happens more than I would like since I am finding deals and posting them for all of us.  But, that is ok!

Coupon Burnout is an essential part of using coupons.  You aren’t doing anything wrong if it happens to you.  Actually, you are probably doing something right!

But, what do you do when you get to that point where clipping your coupons, using your coupons, or using that deals just seems like way too much effort??

Here are a few things that I have done that have helped me get through my Coupon Burnout Phases:

1- Take a break.  If you are feeling overwhelmed and just too tired to go through the coupon hassle.  Then, take a break for a few weeks.  Shop the best you can without coupons and just relax.  Using coupons is a lot of work.  And when you are trying to take care of the household chores and your family- you get exhausted!  So sometimes I will just not use coupons for a few weeks.  That usually does the trick for me.

2- Wait for a really, really good sale!  Sometimes you get in a coupon rut.  There doesn’t seem to be anything good that you just have to have.  So, it becomes tedious to use coupons.  My advice for that is just to wait for a really incredible sale.  And when that incredible sale comes- it will get you so excited that you saved so much money that it will help pull you out too!

One tip I will add (I have learned this from many of you) is to make it a game for your kids to find blinkies and grab the coupons from the blinkies.  This is a great tip assuming you shop at stores that are generous with giving out coupons!

Entertaining Your Child on a Coupon Run

I wanted to talk about ways to keep your children entertained while on a coupon run.  I always recommend that if possible avoid couponing with your kids, however that is not always possible. In fact for many of us shopping with our kids is our only option. I wanted to share with you some ideas for ways to make your experience positive for both you and your children.
