A Few AddictedtoSaving.com Changes

As you know, I am always trying to make AddictedtoSaving.com more user friendly!  As usual, I have had changes in the works behind the scenes and some of them are officially unveiled right now!  In the screen snapshot above, you can see the changes.

1)  The most prominent change is that on the top right side of AddictedtoSaving.com I now have direct links to the three most popular printable websites.  You can click Coupons.com and immediately get transported to Coupons.com.  Same for SmartSource and Redplum.

2)  The icons for Email, RSS Feed, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter are now moved to the top of A2S on the top banner.  If you ever want to jump to Addicted to Saving’s Facebook page, click the Facebook icon.  If you want to see the A2S videos on YouTube, click the YouTube icon…  You get the point! 🙂

3)  The Search bar is still the same and remains in the same spot.  I do want to highlight this bar again because it is an awesome tool for all of you.  If you are ever wondering where the post is that I made about a certain topic (i.e. Ziploc), in the search bar, type in Ziploc and you will see each and every post I ever made about Ziploc.  The search bar is a tool that will help you navigate through AddictedtoSaving.com easier!

Happy October!! Can you believe Halloween is only 27 days away!  Where is time going?!?

How did all of you do in September?  Did you find you were spending less money and saving more money?!?  September brought us some awesome deals didn’t it? 

We had some awesome drugstore deals.  My favorite were: FREE Oral-B rechargeable toothbrushes at CVS, FREE Tylenol Precise at CVS, FREE Thermacare Wraps at Walgreens and FREE St Ives Lotion and Carmex at Walgreens.  What drug store deals were your favorite last month?

Publix continued to please me with some awesome deals!  My favorite Publix deals during September were the free Ore-Ida Mashed Potatoes/Heinz Gravy scenario, free Kraft Homestyle Mac & Cheese, $0.45 MorningStar Veggie Burgers, $0.22 Bagel Bites, and the awesome free Ball Park Hot Dogs/Hot Dog Buns and Pepsi Soda scenario.  What a great month we had with Publix.  What deals were your favorite last month?

If you shop at other grocery or drug stores, what deals did you especially enjoy in September?

Looking at my totals below, I realize that this was a month where I didn’t get out shopping as much as normal.  I’m having so much fun and spending so much time posting deals for all of you that I’m not taking advantage of all of them myself!  Eeek!  I’m hoping this month to start working on some more drugstore deals and rolling my RRs and ECBs each week.  We’ll see how that goes! 🙂

**Remember that we all have different needs.  I have a HUGE stockpile so I focus only on dirt cheap items and produce.  (I still have a ton of meat stored away in my freezer although I’m always looking for cheap chicken breasts).  If you are a newer couponer, then you won’t have as much of a stockpile and you will have to buy more each week than I.  So keep that in mind.  How are your stockpiles doing?  Are you reaching your spending goals?  Would love to hear from all of you to find out where you are in your savings journey!

Can you believe it is already October?  I know that for me, the past year has literally flown by.  For all of my readers that don’t live down south, I know that many of you are experiencing “cooler” temperatures and I’m jealous of you!  That said, the humidity seems to be leaving us here in Florida and I’m super excited that soon I will be able to open my windows to get some fresh air in my house!

I found this great P&G Rebate at Publix today!  I am especially excited about it because if you did the FREE Swiffer Duster Scenario I posted about HERE, you should have no problem qualifying for the rebate!  This was on a tearpad.  Below are the terms of this great Cooking Up Early Detection rebate:

Purchase $25.00 of P&G products in one transaction and receive a FREE pink kitchenware set from Good Cook’s Hope line by mail.

    This is a SUPER late post but one of my awesome readers (Dawn :))posted on Addicted to Saving’s Facebook page that both the St Pete Times and Tampa Tribune have $10.00 off Kohl’s peelies on them.  The Kohl’s coupons have NO spending max which means you can buy something at Kohl’s worth $10.00, use the coupon and get it FREE!!  If you are out and about tonight, you might want to check the newspaper boxes/bins near you to see if there are any papers with the peelies on them.  It is definitely worth the cost of the paper for this great coupon!  **Dawn pointed out that she hadn’t found any peelies on the papers in stores so if check the newspaper boxes/bins if you are out tonight.
