My mail lady must think we are crazy. Literally every day our mail box is jammed with magazines,envelopes with freebies, bills (yuck), etc etc.
Today I received a bottle of FREE Louisiana Hot Sauce and I received the FREE Glade Fragrance Pack because I was one of the first 10,000 entries!! (Both deals are now over)

Oh Happy Day!! The list of stores participating in Kmart’s upcoming Double Coupon Event is posted! I read through the 30 pages of participating stores and was super excited to see numerous stores in my area included in the event! Go Here to see the stores included in this promotion! I have to be honest – I do not shop at Kmart. I can’t remember the last time I shopped there – probably 10+ years ago. Last year when I first started couponing, Kmart had one or two double coupon events and I felt I was too “green” to participate. Not anymore! 🙂 And, I’m going to try to make everything super easy to understand so that EVERYONE feels comfortable participating in this event! Below is a letter Kmart sent out regarding this upcoming event. I have highlighted some information that will be important to remember:

Dear Valued Customer,
Thank you for your recent correspondence. We are always interested in hearing from our customers. We appreciate your interest in our double coupon event. This event is for select participating Kmart locations from 04/04/10 to 04/10/10.
The rules for this event are:
-Manufacturer Coupons up to and including $2 Value are doubled up to $2 no matter what the retail price of a single item is (Side note from Addicted to Saving – I thought I saw elsewhere that coupons up to $4 value would be doubled… I will do more research and see what I find out…)
-Does not include Kmart Store Coupons
-Does not include Kmart Pharmacy Store Coupons
–Limit 5 total coupons per customer per day

I have to confess. I have $16.00 in Register Rewards that are expired after today. And, I have to tell the truth. I am BURNT OUT. I am plain tired. I didn’t even get my run in today I am so tired. So, when it came time to put together my coupons for my Walgreens trip that I planned to do today, I just kind of spaced out. So, instead of putting together wonderful deals to put my $16RRs towards, I just gave my husband the $16 Register Rewards and told him to have fun. How bad is that?!?
But, that’s the great thing about saving money. Every now and then, we can take a break. And, if we refuse to give ourselves days off then we will do the same thing that strict dieters do, BINGE. So, instead of binging, I’m sending my husband to Walgreens and hoping that he will at least pay attention to some sale signs and maybe bring me back a Register Reward or two. We’ll see… And, until then, my shopping confession is that I don’t even feel guilty about this!

I will be temporarily unavailable until Sunday night or Monday morning. I have an exciting, action packed day planned tomorrow including running the Gasparilla Half Marathon in the a.m., going to see the play Wicked in the afternoon and eating at Maggianos for dinner.
