If you have tried leaving a comment on Addicted to Saving the past couple of days, you probably noticed that there is a new feature. The change is that the first time you leave a comment on any of the posts, you will be required to enter the Captcha code. For example, in the picture above, you can see the letters & number MHS2. In order to leave your comment, you will have to enter those letters. After that, you should be able to enter additional comments without typing in the code.
Why do I have this annoying captcha code? Well – if you have been on Addicted to Saving at all during the past couple of months, you may have noticed that more and more people are leaving comments. AND, you may have noticed from time to time a spam comment has been left. Usually, I catch and delete all of the spam but occasionally it slips through the cracks. The captcha will prevent spam. Trust me, you don’t want spam on here.. the spam comments usually have _____ links, inappropriate website links, viruses and more.
Give the captcha a try. This is a test round. I will evaluate the effectiveness of the captcha in a couple weeks and will either keep it on here or will change it. And, as always, thanks for being awesome readers!
