Is Winn Dixie Accepting Competitor Coupons?

This is potentially HUGE news if you shop at Winn Dixie! My friend let me know today that Winn Dixie is starting to accept competitor coupons! I say starting because it looks like this may be a store by store basis or perhaps a regional basis. But I do know that a store in Plant City is accepting them AND my local Winn Dixie in Tampa Bay is accepting competitor coupons! (I just called my store to confirm – woohoo!) Call your local Winn Dixie to confirm they are accepting competitor coupons and to find out which stores they are accepting! Below is a picture of the policy that was unveiled. The highlights of the policy are below:

1) Winn Dixie will accept up to 10 competitor coupons

2) Winn Dixie will redeem competitor coupons for items they sell. In other words, if you have a Publix coupon for a cereal that Winn Dixie does not sell, they will not accept the coupon.

3) Winn-Dixie will not accept percentage off coupons.

4) Winn-Dixie will not price match.

5) Winn-Dixie will accept one manufacturer and ONE store coupon per item for a total of two coupons per item.

**I called my local Winn Dixie and they confirmed that they ARE accepting competitor coupons. As long as the item on the competitor coupon is carried by Winn Dixie, they will accept the competitor coupon. Competitor coupons (Target, Publix, Whole Foods, etc) will vary based on where your store is located.

So I thought I had found a great matchup with this new $1.00 off any TWO Keebler Cookies coupon that came out. I remembered seeing a BOGO Keebler Coupon in the current Publix Grocery Advantage Flyer, so I was ready to score cheap Keebler cookies, which is hard to do!

Alas, the coupon in the Advantage Flyer is a manufacturer’s coupon (pictured above). This is a good lesson to make sure you’re always reading the verbiage of the coupons. It’s easy to forget the small print or make a mistake like I almost did, especially with the way stores are putting limits on deals these days.

Still, there are rarely ever Keebler cookies coupons (which is why I was so excited!), so make sure you print this.

For those of you who have a Sweetbay around you, you’ll start to see some of those stores closing down. As I mentioned last year, Winn Dixie has bought out many of the Sweetbays in Florida and will be converting them to Winn Dixies.

With that being the case, you might want to call your local Sweetbay and see if they have any sales going on. Many of the Sweetbay brands, including Hannaford, Taste of Inspirations, My Essentials, Healthy Accents and Nature’s Place, will be on sale 50% off as they try and clear the stores of those brands.
