Calling all runners and walkers!! Have you heard of the Athleta Iron Girl Event Series? They have events located across the country. They have running races, triathlon and duathlon events. I ran the Athleta Iron Girl 10k in 2009 (I was speedy that year and was second finisher in my age group. Besides receiving a finisher medal, as an age group winner, I received a special necklace and I still wear it to this day) and then I ran the Athleta Iron Girl 15k in 2010. After the race they have a wonderful post-race catered Breakfast Café. These events are first class. I ran that race with my mom last year. It was a lot of fun. They had plenty of entertainment and lots of people to cheer you on. They really didn’t offer a lot of post race refreshments. It was just a box of crackers and nuts. I heard the food has changed over the years. I’m glad to have the coupon code. Thanks!
Jessica – I didn’t realize that about the post-race refreshments! I didn’t run last year but in the two prior years, they had catered food and white table clothed tables for us to sit on. Sounds like things really changed. Still a great race but definitely sounds like the food changed…:( Thanks for the head’s up!
