**Thanks everyone for all of your coupon donations the past few months!! I am currently accepting October expired coupons. I will need all October expired coupons by November 10th**
By now you should know that I send out expired coupons to a military base in Italy every month. I don’t know about you, but every month, I have TONS of expired coupons that I typically throw away. I did some research online and found that I can send my expired coupons to military families overseas and they will use the coupons at their commissary and PX or BX (these are basically department stores that sell all non-food items).
Since I started saving money using coupons over a year ago now, I have been blessed ten-fold. My spending on groceries has decreased drastically and I now have more food, toiletries, etc than I would have ever imagined. I want to bless others now. So, instead of throwing away my expired coupons, I will send them to an overseas military base once a month. Would you like to help? If you are interested in participating with me, I would love for you to send me your expired coupons. Every month I will post a reminder and will give all of you 7 days to gather your expireds and mail them to me. Then, once I receive all of your coupons, I will ship them out to a military base.
Below are the requirements if you are interested in helping:
1) Mail your expired coupons to: Addicted to Saving, PMB 105, 8348 Little Rd, New Port Richey, FL 34654
2) Send me all coupons that expired ON or AFTER October 1st. (Commissaries will accept older expireds, but I’m only going to send one month old coupons since I will do this once a month)
3) Do not send me printable coupons and do not send store coupons (i.e. Target, Publix, Walgreens etc) because commissaries overseas will not accept them.
4) Please Please Please cut your coupons out and then separate your coupons into two categories Food & Nonfood. If you mail all of your coupons to me in one envelope, use an elastic or paperclip to keep the two categories separated. Food is considered anything eaten by humans.. Food is also considered gum. Nonfood is toiletries, dogfood or catfood (since it’s not consumed by humans), vitamins, medicine, etc.
That’s it! I will do the rest of the work! I need all of your coupons in my hand by November 10th!

Liza, i just clipped tons of my expired coupons from October, but, am afraid you won’t get them by the 10th if i mail them tomorrow. I thought i saw somewhere that we could drop the off at Calvary Chapel worship center on trouble creek, is that correct? if so, where do we leave them or who do we give them to?
thanks.
Liza says
Hi Kristi! Thanks for clipping your coupons for Couponing for the Troops. I actually have no direct affiliation to Calvary Chapel in NPR so don’t drop them off there! 🙂 Go ahead and put your coupons in the mail and I will get them added to the pile 🙂 I go to Calvary Baptist in Clearwater so maybe you got the two churches confused? That or the fact that I am collecting nonperishables at Calvary Baptist on 11/20?

ok,thanks Liza, i will mail them to you tomorrow. I love that you mail expired coupons over to military families in Italy. Actually, my brother-in-law and his wife were stationed in Italy years ago, what a great idea. Also, i just hated to throw away expired coupons, now, i won’t have to. i have registered for your seminar at St. Thomas Aquinas Church on Nov. 17th, looking forward to it.

Will you be at church on Wednesday so I can give them to you then? I still have some I need to cut out, and I actually have lots more that I keep forgetting to give you from previous months, but I need to get them sent out so that they can be used!!

I am wondering if i send you the flyers that i clipped from or if i need to clip them. What about manufacturers coupons that i have printed .
Liza says
Hi Cindy! I don’t take printed manufacturer coupons just because the troops overseas can print the coupons out just like we can.. Regarding the inserts, please cut each and every coupon. I am receiving over 50 envelopes full of coupons every month and while I wish I could cut every coupon, I don’t have the time.. Thank you for helping out this cause!!

we are stationed at Ramstein Germany and the commissary takes printed coupons.
