I wanted to send out a huge thank you, as always, to all of you who are sending me your expired coupons! Each month I am receiving more and more envelopes filled to the brim with your expired coupon! If you are new to Addicted to Saving, every month I send expired coupons to a military community in Vicenza, Italy that I’ve adopted. The military families overseas will then use the expired coupons at their commissary and PX or BX.
Below are the requirements if you are interested in with Addicted to Saving’s Couponing for the Troops:
1) Mail your expired coupons to: Addicted to Saving, PMB 105, 8348 Little Rd, New Port Richey, FL 34654
2) Send me all coupons that expired ON or AFTER March 1st. (Commissaries will accept older expireds, but I’m only going to send one month old coupons since I will do this once a month)
3) Do not send me printable coupons and do not send store coupons (i.e. Target, Publix, Walgreens etc) because commissaries overseas will not accept them.
4) Please Please Please cut your coupons out and then separate your coupons into two categories Food & Nonfood. If you mail all of your coupons to me in one envelope, use an elastic or paperclip to keep the two categories separated. Food is considered anything eaten by humans.. Food is also considered gum. Nonfood is considered toiletries, dogfood or catfood (since it’s not consumed by humans), vitamins, medicine, etc.
That’s it! I will do the rest of the work! I need all of your expired May coupons in my hand by June 15 th!

Liza I just sat and had my kids to help me cut out the coupons. I have 5 envelopes this time. I know I save alot of money so I should just mail them. I was wondering is there a place where we can start dropping them off? Just a question.

What a great thing to do for those serving in the military. Thanks for doing this!

Commissaries overseas do take printed coupons as long as they have the barcodes on them and they aren’t photocopies. I collect coupons for the post we live at now overseas and we have never had a problem with printed coupons 🙂

A friend Of mine and I are the head of a mom’s group in Jacksonville fl, we are interested in where you send your coupons? Is there a program the distributes them? If so can we send them strait to them? We have the potential to be collecting alot of expired coupons and it would be easier just to send them right where they need to go, pls feel free to email me
Thank you

Hi Jamie! I use Overseas Coupon Program (OCP). It is a great organization. You basically adopt a base and then send them coupons. You are welcome to send your coupons to me (if you like) as I package and send up countless boxes every month to a base in Italy. Or else feel free to choose a base to send your coupons to on OCP’s site. My only complaint about OCP is that I’ve only received feedback once that they received my shipment. So, you have to prepared to rely on faith that it got there. 🙂
Also – I haven’t given any classes in Jacksonville but would love to. If you know of any churches/organizations/etc where I could speak, I would appreciate your insight!
