Here are the scenarios I have for the CVS Black Friday ad. There are five transactions listed but feel free to do more or less. These deals are good 11/22/12 – 11/24/12 so you can spread them out over a couple of days if you prefer. This post includes specific items you can purchase and coupons that you can use to maximize your dollar AND your Extra Care Bucks at CVS. Please know that you do not have to follow these transactions if you do not want to. The goal of this post is to help you get an idea on how to roll your Extra Care Bucks from one scenario to the next. Please also know that these transactions do not take into account tax. Every state taxes differently so you may need to budget a little extra to cover tax.

Total Remaining ECBs to apply towards next week’s ad: $4 ECB
Total Out of Pocket for 5 transactions: $6.99 + applicable taxes for approximately $35.25 in products. And if you used left over ECBs in Transaction #1 you will save even more!
**Also – Don’t forget that your ECBs will expire in a few weeks and if you let them expire, you are basically throwing away money. If you are concerned you will let them expire and you want to use them now, I would put your ECBs towards paper products like toilet paper, paper towels, diapers, etc which are hard to get dirt cheap!

Thanks so much for these scenarios.

There are some really great scenarios here from simply cvs, over $100 in products for less than $20………without any coupons. so if you add coupons to them it makes for a really great deal.

Rosalind, that was cool. I just did the same, going backwards from $20.00, as I have that much in ECBs to begin with. I began with the Pur Absorb iron and Advil which totals 20, then split the return ECBs in multiple transactions going down to the .99 items. I do have a few coupons in the mix, like Command and Glade, etc. I have earned the free Advil; my brain is weary from all that thinking. I end up with $23.91 in total ECBs back, so an overall money maker in eight transactions. If I saw your post earlier, I would have saved myself the work. Oh well. I can’t wait til Sunday!!!!!!!!!!
