Below are new CVS scenarios. This post includes specific items you can purchase and coupons that you can use to maximize your dollar AND your Extra Care Bucks at CVS. Please know that you do not have to follow these transactions if you do not want to. The goal of this post is to help you get an idea on how to roll your Extra Care Bucks from one week to the next. Please also know that these transactions do not take into account tax. Every state taxes differently so you may need to budget a little extra to cover tax.
If you are new to shopping at CVS, go HERE to read Intro to CVS.

**Also – Don’t forget that you ECBs will expire in a few weeks and if you let them expire, you are basically throwing away money. If you are concerned you will let them expire, I would put your ECBs towards paper products like toilet paper and paper towels which are hard to get dirt cheap!

Liza, on Transaction #2, I also used a $1/1 coupon for the toothbrushes. It makes the deal even sweeter!

Nice Jennifer!! Good catch! 🙂

I am from Tampa…. Did anybody get 5 inserts? i only got 4 – 1 GM, 1 RedPlum, 2 smart source…. AND NO WISK COUPONS…….. I really need detergent!!!
Budgetfields says
I was wrong… i got so used to buying the St. Pete times that when i sent hubby to get the newspaper, i didn’t think that they would of left out one insert… got to stick with tampa tribune….
Barb Gray says
I finally figured that out too a couple of weeks ago. Tampa Tribune has often has more coupons than St. Pete. I just found out too that CVS will write rainchecks. Never knew that before.
Liza says
Budgetfields & Barb – I used to buy the St Pete Times but stopped about 8 months ago when they started leaving out inserts.. I now buy the Tribune and I haven’t missed an insert in months. **I should note that inserts vary depending on where you live…
