Below are new CVS scenarios. This post includes specific items you can purchase and coupons that you can use to maximize your dollar AND your Extra Care Bucks at CVS. Please know that you do not have to follow these transactions if you do not want to. The goal of this post is to help you get an idea on how to roll your Extra Care Bucks from one week to the next. Please also know that these transactions do not take into account tax. Every state taxes differently so you may need to budget a little extra to cover tax.
If you are new to shopping at CVS, go HERE to read Intro to CVS.

Total Remaining ECBs to apply towards next week’s ad: $2.00 ECBs
Total Out of Pocket for all 3 transactions: $5.34+ applicable taxes. Don’t forget that if you use ECBs from last week, you will spend much less out of pocket on Transaction #1.
Also – Don’t forget that you ECBs will expire in a few weeks and if you let them expire, you are basically throwing away money. If you are concerned you will let them expire, I would put your ECBs towards paper products like toilet paper and paper towels which are hard to get dirt cheap!

Just wanted to give you my scenario in case anyone else is like me and has a larger ECB to start with. I have $10 in ECB, all on one, and I don’t usually like that because it makes me think about how to get the best bang out of it.
Here’s what I did:
1 Tone Body Wash 3.88 ($3 EB)
1 Colgate Advanced 2.99 ($2 EB)
1 Gillette Razor 9.99 ($4 EB)
Had the following coupons:
$1 Tone
$1 Colgate Advanced
$4 Gillette Razor
$10 in ECB
Total out of pocket was .86 and I got $9 in ECB back, but in smaller denominations, which makes them easier to roll each week.

Love it. Great scenario S.M!

I’ve been told several times by cashiers at both my stores in northern Indiana that ECBs DO NOT EXPIRE, even though they have an expiration date on them. I’ve successfully used expired ones many times. This might be worth confirming in your store, as it takes the stress out of having to buy something just in order to use them up.

All of the Colgate coupons are no longer available on the links you posted.

Toni,
If you get All You Magazine (sold at Wal-Mart) on Page 108 there is $1/1 Colgate toothpaste that matches this sale. There are over $55 worth of coupons in this month’s issue alone and since I started subscribing in September of this year, I’ve saved a lot more than I ever spent on the subscription.
Toni says
Thanks I will have to check into that!

I’d say it was very awesmoe.
