Yesterday was such a busy mommy and son day and I wasn’t able to sit down and catch my breath let alone write what I am grateful for. So I’ll combine two grateful thought’s into today’s post.
Day 2 of 30 Days of Gratitude: I’m grateful for memories. The good and the bad. I was pushing Asher in his stroller down a sidewalk in our neighborhood and realized that this was one of the favorite places I would walk my dog Pacey. Pacey loved this stretch of our walk and would eagerly pull the leash to smell (and mark) all of the bushes on the right. Pacey has been gone for two months now and walking here with Asher made my heart hurt. But even as I hurt, I was thankful for the time I had with Pacey and for the memories I have of him.
Day 3 of 30 Days of Gratitude: I’m grateful for the cooler weather. Living in Florida, my favorite time of the year is right now. The humidity finally starts to disappear and we can open the windows and let fresh air in the house. I can also go run a few miles and not return to the house feeling totally dehydrated. Cooler weather also makes me want to make homemade soup or chili and hunker down with the family under a blanket as we watch old movies. I’m hoping this cooler weather stays for good!

I am grateful for the beautiful fall leaves. We just made a trip to Desoto Falls and Little River Canyon in Alabama, and the leaves were really at peak. It was just gorgeous! Thank you, God!

Bike rides, eating on the porch, windows wide open – loving fall in Florida.
