BwahHahahahahahaaaaaaaaaa…..

I am catching the end of it…but it is coming on again at 1:00a.m. I am recording it to see the beginning.
April says
I am all about couponing but I think that was a little over board but hey when you can get a good deal go for it. I just wish we could double coupons here. That would be awesome!
Denise says
what an educational show..enbelieveable..but to say enough is enough.. called my friends to watch and they couldn’t believe it. so it can be done. thanks for the info
Lily says
I think that if one is happy with what they do, let them be. If they invite others to change them or if they’re harming others…then yes, one can try to “alter” their habits.
I hope never to get to THAT point of being obsessed, but if that’s what works for them, then hey, that’s awesome 🙂
As for the dumpster diving (it wasnt pointed out that they were in a RECYCLE PLACE until later)…I’d totally do it if it weren’t Texas stuff.
“Trash” is just objects gotten tired of or used already. I clean offices and the idea of “germs” and “dirtiness” has lost its meaning to me. 🙂

I only got to watch the last 30 minutes. The lady who bought $238 of groceries and spent on $6 and some change, I would love to do that. As far as the last guy, Mr. Coupon, he is way to obessed. I give him credit though. I’m new to couponing and I’m wondering why Florida doesn’t double coupons. My goal is to be like the lady.
Andrea says
I thought the Idaho girl and the Philadelphia lady had the right idea behind their shopping. The Ohio girl and the man at the end just have shopping addiction. I enjoyed watching it and watched it over again to show my husband.
Katrina says
I was a little overwhelmed. I enjoy a great deal just like the next couponer but that was quite extreme. If I had that must of a stockpile, I would definetly donate it to a food pantry.
Laura says
I wish we had double coupons here, and I also wish there was that much quantity of items on sale when I went to the store for great sales. I hope I never let it overtake my whole life though.
carrie says
I think it is great to get the coupons and too use them, but I also think that number one, why would you do all of your shopping at one time like that, 9 carts is just not fun for the cashier, I have been a cashier, and I know, and then handing them over piles of coupons, I don’t think I could ever do that to a cashier!!

I’m watching it now (I set my DVR while I got my little one in bed). I’ve seen “The Krazy Coupon Lady” before…she seems practical about it; smart. The first gal from Ohio – too much to say just for this gal…of course, you never know the full story, but from what they reported, she’s buying lots of junk and lots of stuff she doesn’t need or give away just to feed the addiction. I enjoy couponing as a hobby and it is critical to my family’s financial bottom line, but you’ve GOT to keep things in perspective and do a cost/benefit analysis when deciding what to buy, how much of it, and for me, one of the MOST important, whether the amount saved on an item is worth my time finding and clipping the coupon(s).
It’s so easy to get caught up in this. I’ve seen deals on stuff before that’s a GREAT deal, but for an item that I’ve never used before (like an acid reducer or laxative…never needed it and that’s probably already TMI…lol), I actually had to catch myself spending 10 minutes signing up to the website to get the coupon, print it, etc.
I did like seeing that Mr. Coupon (Nathan) towards the end used his skills to supply his local food bank. I love participating in couponing this way!
unbelievable says
The first couple was ridiculous-two people hoarding massive amounts of food and products they will never in their life use – she has a problem. not to mention being very short tempered and inconsiderate. Why in the world would you do that all in one trip (for the cameras I guess) I had no sympathy when she brought a store to it’s knees because she wanted to “pull off” something. HORRIBLE!
As far as the last guy – donating over 1K in cereal boxes to the local food pantry….BRAVO!
missys says
Wow, this show was crazy! Thats way to much for any person to use in a life time!! I wonder how much of it ends up in the trash because it expired? I hope no one near my Publix watched it, I don’t want the shelves to be empty next week!!! lol
Kathryn says
Wow, that was extreme! The first lady and the last guy were too extreme. What amazed me is that they all had these HUGE stockpiles and only one family had a child and only one child. Why would you need to possibly stockpile as much deodorant as they did? Buying 150 bars of candy bars was a little extreme as well! I felt sick watching the carts and carts of things they were buying and turning their houses into warehouses! They cleared the grocery shelves with buying 100’s of items at a time. That is just not right. At least the guy at the end that bought all the cereal had his special ordered. I’d like to know where he stored all of those boxes of cereal (even if he is given some away).
Holly says
I agree Kathryn, no one needs that many items. It’s not fair to the next shopper if the shelves are empty. Those people who had garages that looked like warehouses should give half of their items to charity. Just think of how many hungry children it could feed!
Patricia says
I loved the show because my boyfriend finally saw that i am actually saving money by couponing. He even said he wasnted me to start a stockpile because up until now he would get really upset if I bought more then we could use in a week. He even said he would love if we got as good as the poeple on the show and could give alot of the stuff to charities to help others out. Some of it was a bit much to just keep for themselves but if you can get those good of deals and help others out I say go for it but I would never buy a hundred and whatever tooth brushes at once.
Cyn Davis says
That is why they call it EXTREME Couponing. That show was not a reflection of the millions of us who use coupons responsibly and also have a little common sense. It woulf be devastating financially for me to loose the ability to coupon.
If this keeps up Publix is going to start enforcing their one per cusomer rule they have on many of their coupons now.
How many times have you and I gone to the store to find the shelves wiped out by the person in front of you.
I buy 4 papers a week so I can do 4 deals if they are good ones. And my stockpile is growing nicely. Every once in a while I beg coupons off neighbors if I think there is a great deal but any more than that is getting to the “greedy” place.
If you are not going to donate why would you buy 150 candy bars? I cleaned out my pantry and stockpiles a few days ago and was able to donate 10 bags of staples to my local food pantry. And I still have a full pantry. No not rooms and rooms but enough.
On a lighter note I would love it if we had double coupons and I have to say I felt a little envy when I saw the paper stockpiles. I never can get enough great deals on TP and papertowels! LOL.
Stephanie says
I agree with everything that you said. I buy 2-4 papers (just depends on how good the deals are). I want to be able to stockpile, but not that much. I would love to be able to get fresh produce, (meats and veggies) cheaper…paper products too.
Nadine says
I enjoyed the show and learned some new information but I have to agree with some others that have posted and say that Mr. Coupon is really close to being a hoarder. Free or not, if you aren’t going to use it don’t get it.
Beth says
I missed it, but checked my listings. It is on again January 4th at 10pm and the 5th at 1am. I set my DVR!
Caitlin says
I have been couponing for almost a year and I find these people to be a bit crazy. I might feel different if I had more than a few cabinets to put my food in but my husband is definately not giving up the garage or his man cave for storage! I agree that having 2-3 months of a stockpile is reasonable but 150 candy bars was disgusting. I feel that if I had the room to stockpile better I would use it towards drinks and paper products. Although that woman spent $51.00 for over $1,000.00 in items, they failed to add in her clipping service total as well. Tax can be extremly costly and I just pray that I don’t ever let it run my life the way these people do unless they benefit from it as a business (which most of them do.)
Cynthia says
I found the whole show to be somewhat disturbing. I love couponing, but I do not let it run my life. If I miss a deal, I’ve learned….it’s okay! I probably got a great deal on something else the week before and will probably get one the following week again.
I have a nice stockpile for my famly and am still able to give so many things to the pantry at my church. I’m respectful of others that are trying to get the same deals that week.
I just hope all of the people shown are not just in it “for the thrill of the chase”. I hope they do not let things expire that other families can benefit from.
Budgetfields says
Im just watching the show on my dvr…. IM SOOOOOO MADDDDDD !!!!!!! no wonder why i never could never find nothing on the shelves on the very first day of a sale… ugh… and publix stay getting mad when i use that much coupons… now i would really have it bad at the stores…. thanks TLC
Donna says
The show is going to shed “bad light” on us, wiping shelfs out if just rude and inconsiderate to say the least! No one needs 150 candy bars, or 500 boxes of pasta. Stores and Manufactures are going to start cracking down on coupons due to these selfish people. What’s next “coupon wars” on A&E ??
Debbie says
I HATE the show. General Mills is going to notice that stores are accepting 1200 coupons for cereal from ONE greedy guy and start putting pressure on Publix, Food Lion etc to only accept ONE coupon per person per day etc. It’s going to hurt regular families trying to use 3 or 4 coupons. Wait and see!!
