My name is Liza and I began my money-saving journey in the Spring of 2009 as a way to stretch a limited household income. I had lost my job and my hubby was self-employed. Was just wondering why you have to buy 2 or 3 products just to use a $.50 coupon. You know a lot of senior citizens are on a fixed income, and have limited space in their homes. The coupons, which, if were only for 1 product, would help out with their money spending. They would be able to get more products they needed or just have more money left. Otherwise, the coupons are of no use to them. I know, I speak from experience in grocery stores!!!
We are all on a fixed income. I am not a senior citizen yet but very close. I am learning to coupon just in the past few years. Due to my health with my heart, no income I depend on my daughter for her help. There is a lot of work when using coupons. But the reward can be great when combining the coupons with the BOGO Free items. When I shop at Publix. I only buy items I know we will use. If the store is out of the item at the time of the sale, I always get the rain check and try to use before my coupon expires. There are lots of things to learn, but I am learning them.
