Bring your B1G1 Athenos Feta Cheese coupons (go HERE to print) to Publix because you may find it on sale B1G1! It is all over the coupon blogs and forums that some locations are finding the cheese on sale B1G1 while others are not. The store I shopped at this morning did not have it on sale. **Update** I have received numerous emails that I was looking in the wrong area of Publix for the feta! The feta is rumored to be in the cheese section of Publix by the Kraft Shredded cheese. I looked in the display with the “fancier” cheeses and did not find it there. So – make sure you check both spots! As a reminder, when you have a B1G1 coupon and match it with a B1G1 sale, you will get both items FREE!!
Thanks to everyone who emailed me about this! 🙂

Yes, it’s the smaller containers that are located in the cheese section. I found mine in Orlando.

Got mine today at Publix in Trinity. They only had two of the flavor I like. I still have another coupon. Will be hitting up store at Ridge/Regency on Tuesday for two more. Got FREE Feta. Love it!!!

Got mine also! Is it just me, or does free always taste better? 🙂

My Publix VERY RUDELY informed me that they were “not allowed” to accept BOGO coupons…especially ones from Facebook. They claimed they were “coming back” from the manufacturer as bogus. Any truth to this?
Seems my Publix has been giving me a hardtime about coupons every single week…maybe it’s the hot Miami weather.

no where on the coupon does it say it came from facebook.

There is a very rude Publix near me when it come to coupons. Find a new Publix as you don’t deserve to be treated differently because of coupons. There are way too many other nice stores to keep dealing with that rude store.

I also had a problem at Publix this week. I tried to get the Feta for FREE using my B1G1! coupon and the cashier called the manager to ask if I could use the coupons if the Feta was already BOGO at Publix. The Manager told him not to accept the coupons!! I was very frustrated, not only that but also in items which were BOGO and I had two coupons (lysol all purpose cleaner) they would only accept one coupon!!
I guess its time to look for a new Publix…. :-(((

Here is the way my Publix handled the Athenos cheese. I bought four with two B1G1 coupons. The receipt shows the price for each item as the half price, and then subtracted two half prices off, which means I paid for two items at half price even though they were B1G1 and I had two B1G1 coupons. Is this correct? I have only been doing coupons about three months.
Liza says
Hi Linda! What state do you live in? Florida is a “true B1G1 state” and receipts should usually show that you pay for the first item and the second item is free. Many other states, however, will show 50% off each item which sounds like what happened to you.. Assuming you live in a state where you get 50% off, then what happened with your transaction is absolutely correct. Let me know. I would love to help you as best I can.
Teresa says
So does that mean in other states that aren’t true B1G1 states they can’t both items free with B1G1 coupons used on B1G1 sales? My mom lives in N. Florida and does most of her grocery shopping in South Georgia so this information would be helpful. Thanks 🙂
Linda says
Liza. I live in Georgia and the Publix is in Thomasville, which is South Georgia. The cashier wanted to know up front if I had any B1G1 coupons, and didn’t want all the others until the end. Thank you so much for your help.

Great job Linda!
