DirecTV and Dish Network are giving a really cool preview this weekend for current subscribers. Starting Saturday, September 23rd and running through the 26th, you’ll be able to get a free preview of HBO and Cinemax to celebrate the season premiere of Boardwalk Empire.
The channel lineup is as follows:
- 501-511 and 515-523 for DirecTV
- 300-309 and 310-314 for Dish Network

I can verify Verizon is a partcipant in the free HBO/Cinemax weekend preview that started Friday morning.
What time do these channels begin to play? I was assuming that since it was past midnight (which it is now technically 6/8, it would be playing the free channels) But it is not. Do you think they will be playing within a couple hours? I believe we should get them literally on the promotional dates listed. 6/8 begins at 12:01 am and I think the channels should have started playing! I had a few shows I wanted to record early in the am but now I’m afraid that they won’t record.
