This is a really cool deal for the local Tampa Bay Area readers! Your children can score a FREE ticket to a Rays Baseball home game by reading for 24 hours this summer!
Here are the rules of the game:
- Look out for the Reading with the Rays insert in the Tampa Bay Times on Sunday, June 9.
- Choose your favorite books from your local library or select your favorite section of the Tampa Bay Times to read over the summer.
- Go to your local library to get your game card.
- As you read, track your hours by rounding the bases on your game card and collect Rays rewards along the way.
- When you read enough hours to get to first base, ask your parent or guardian to initial your card; then bring it to your local library.
- The librarian will initial your card and give you a reading reward.
- Round the bases by reading a total of 24 hours this summer and receive a ticket to a Rays game!
Go HERE to see the prizes for each base you score while reading! I have not had a chance to go by a library and pick up one of these cards yet, so I don’t know the age restrictions, but it sounds like a neat deal!
*Program details and prize information are listed on Reading with the Rays game cards, available at a library near you after June 9.
