This is a great freebie for those of us in Florida, since we are surrounded by water. In most states you need a license to go fishing. It’s usually not too expensive, here in Florida it’s $17 for an annual license for either saltwater or freshwater. However, if you don’t go fishing very often or just want to try it out to see if you like it, that’s pretty hefty. So Florida offers 4 days a year that you can fish for FREE without a license. Other states offer from 1 day up to 365 days!
Florida is offering 2 days for freshwater and 2 days for saltwater. The dates for Florida this year are: 4/6/13 & 6/8/13 (fresh) and 6/1/13 & 9/1/13 (salt). We’ve already missed one day, but the next two are coming up quickly!
